This post taught me the importance of researching other podcasts in my niche to identify potential sponsors. Learning to negotiate fees based on the value I offer was a valuable lesson. Researching other podcasts to find potential sponsors was insightful. Thanks for the advice on integrating sponsors seamlessly into podcast content - I'll definitely put that into action.

This is very good advice! I had become a little discouraged about landing a advertising gig due to me not getting anywhere near 1-5k downloads an episode. I do a sports podcast (Sports Chat with Deejay) and I have been doing it since January. I completely love it but I have never been able or should I say never tried to get a sponsorship because most want you to have such a large following. I average maybe 11-20 downloads an episode but I have about 460 downloads to date. So, I really hope that I can get a sponsor. I have trouble even thinking who would fit into my show since I am mainly speaking on latest news in sports (preferably NFL, NBA, WWE etc)

Just listened (and subscribed to your podcast) and I loved it. My partner and I just started a podcast as well. We actually work for a Major League Baseball team , so we are using our connections to get players to come on our podcast and talk about current events, etc and others who work for pro sports teams and I was thinking that it would be cool to collaborate with you sometimes as our audience is mostly all the people who work for the same team we work with, but it would be great to hear updates from the other sports from time to time and maybe they will also become subscribers of yours, like I did, as I love the WWE and other sports. (Not to mention, the baseball players we plan to have also reach out to other athletes they know from other sports for us). Podcast is called Mistaken Identity w/ David & Frank

This is so informative ! I have a Podcast for helping Domestic Violence survivors find their voice with over 3.5K downloads. Going to implement these strategies to find sponsors for a worthy cause.

What if you're a syndicated radio show that airs across Canada and also airs on Podcasts, how do you breakdown the cost to charge then?

How did the client know that the new customers are coming from your podcast with the $200 acquisition cost example? And how did you keep track of that yourself?

Hey! Usually, you will get a specific affiliate link, so the client will be able to see what new customers came from what affiliate link. If you want more information on this, shoot our support team an email and they can help explain more in-depth! You can email them at support@buzzsprout.com!
