dude. There's a lot of high dollar channels out there that get a lot of exposure (as they are indeed among the first results when searching videos) but there is something they lack that here there is an abundance of. Your story telling is excellent. I jumped in in the last video, interested in learning of the articles of confederation and I am hooked! I'm excited to check out the rest of the playlist! keep it up!

Regarding your comment at 53:12... This is certainly not a boring lecture. It is a very informative and interesting presentation about the Constitutional Convention of 1787. Well done!

On the subject of the American Founding Fathers being Christians, yes it is accepted by the vast majority of historians that the majority of them were Christians. With exception of Thomas Paine the writer of the infamous Pamphlet Common Sense, Benjamin Franklin and others. Thomas Jefferson the writer of the Declaration of Independence was probably a Christian but near the end of his life. His earlier writings are more Deistic/Humanistic in nature with Christian Influence, however this is common for the day with many such enlightenment ideas were popular at the time. As for George Washington, it is unclear, there are good arguments on both sides (the only sides being Deist or Christian), his own private beliefs are speculative, so unknown.

Really enjoyed this one, I think the idea of representation as it relates to population size is an argument that resonates today even in our non-American democratic systems. The 3/5ths compromise is really interesting, I'd only loosely heard of it but I feel like it's generally portrayed as "a person of colour only has 3/5ths of the rights of a human being", when here it seems more like "a person of colour has no rights as a human being, but we will allow their owners to steal 3/5ths of their value as a person to use as political power." I feel like I'm probably off in my understanding of this one, so if anyone's reading this, please feel free to correct me. My gut feeling is that the 3/5ths compromise comes to mean something different as we move towards the 20th century.

Gouverneur Morris was an American statesman, a Founding Father of the United States, and a signatory to the Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution. He wrote the Preamble to the United States Constitution and has been called the "Penman of the Constitution". Not Madison.

Your take on Maddison is just that... So far off and wrong about his contributions to the constitution and his push back against Hamiltonian thought. Maddison is often coined the father of constitution has little to nothing to do with his penning, but his contribution as a thinker being the primary reason. Also a side note, the states sent more than 55...some left early and some didn't fisnsh the trip. Also more were called upon and some simply refused to attend.

The general population is as uneducated on national(international) political/economic matters as it was back then and will always be. They can freely participate in local matters, but should never be allowed to deal with national matters. Also Populism is always a harbinger of a declining society, not a form of reform or empowerment.

Great job. But you were completely off on the religious background of the Framers. None of them were athiests. Many were protestants and many were strict diests. We were homogeneous besides the political differences on the size of the central government.

Quakers, catholics, protestants, deists, agnostics, Anglicans, Spanish, English, Scotts, French, farmers, lawyers, doctors, etc. How did these factors portray a homogenous founding?

@@henriomoeje8741 because the overwhelming majority of settlers were of English, British descent, not french.
