It’s crazy how Terry didn’t get the recognition he deserves! He should be mentioned with the greats…his music really got me through some of my darkest days🥹. Thank you Terry for sharing your art and talent with the world. Your music will forever be timeless❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

At my second ever live concert a young unknown Terry Reid opened for Cream at the Baltimore Civic Center. Terry Reid followed by the Moody Blues followed by Cream, except Cream was late so Terry & his band were brought out for a second set. Only problem, as Terry revealed to the audience, they didn't actually HAVE a second set...so we were treated to a repeat of their previous set. And it was killer! The next day I searched high & low for Terry's only LP (in 1968 record shopping options were limited) and miraculously found a copy at E.J Korvettes. 52 years later that record is a "desert island" disc which remains in my regular rotation.

Thanks for this, Terry and Joe. Terry, you opened in Chicago at the International Ampitheater in November 1969 for The Rolling Stones. You played first. Then Chuck Berry did a set, and then The Rolling Stones played. It was a Sunday and there was a matinee and an evening show. I had tickets in the 7th row which cost $7.50. Just a great show by all. Thanks. Several months ago I went back and re-purchased your catalogue after watching you, Joe, do a piece about buying Terry’s Tele. Great show. Good memories. Bob Corbin

In my opinion Britain's best singer ever. Chatted with him after a small gig he did and at no time did I feel like I was outstaying my welcome. In fact I ended up having to end the conversation. Bloody great guitarist as well. Criminal when you see the s**te that have made it huge when you compare them to Terry. Ain't No Justice (Shadow).

This man is a lovely human being. He’s a new discovery for me. I saw two live versions of ‘Treated Rite’ and I was blown away by by his guitar playing and his soulful, expressive voice. Both versions were different. He has a complex, unique style. I watch those two vids every now and then. It’s always a special experience and I know I’m listening to something special. And now I’ve heard him speaking, I like him even more. He’s a cheerful soul isn’t he! I’d like to hear a lot more from him. His stories are great. He’s truthful and honest. Appreciates other artists as well. If anyone here can recommend songs to me, I’d appreciate it.

Thanks Joe. I think Terry Reid is a great artist. I first saw a clip of him doing treated right on Jools Holland and I was blown away by his soulful, powerful voice and his unusual, captivating guitar sounds. I’ve since found out about his experiences in the music business and his interactions with just about every major artist I’ve ever heard of and then some. I loved listening to his stories. That was enough to blow my socks off, but what impressed me even more is his character. He is so generous with his praise for other musicians and he strikes me as an honest, honourable, caring man. He’s really loveable. So much so, that if he was a puppy or a kitten, you’d want to pick him up and cuddle him 😀 He always comes across that way, always positive and jocular, never bitter, resentful or jealous. Nor is he ever pompous and full of himself like some much less talented people. I enjoyed your interview a lot. You asked great questions and you gave him time to speak. I would dearly love to hear a lot more of his stories and if it’s at all possible I would like you to interview him again. I love listening to people talking about their creative process, even if I’m not a fan of their genre. But music for me is like medicine because it makes me feel better, it inspires my imagination and I can access deeper more, more intuitive and loving emotions if that makes sense. Anyway, thanks so much for agreeing to do this interview series. It’s so much more interesting when a musician interviews other musicians because you can relate much more because of your shared experiences. You are doing a great job! More please!
