Please comment and rate. This took me a while to put together. Here is a full video from the movie, "The Craft" with the Charmed theme song, which was also on The Craft Soundtrack. Hope you all like it. :)
Whoever at Spelling Television had the idea to use this cover of "How Soon is Now" as the "Charmed" theme with the rights to also edit it to change its context for the series' opening credits was a genius. First of all, it already had the "witches association" with "The Craft." Then, through clever editing of the song in the "Charmed" opening, "I am the Son. I am the Heir..." instead takes on the Wiccan meaning of "I am the Sun; I am the Air."

Thanks for posting this. I loved The craft and saw it in theaters when it came out. I wonder how many people think this song was strictly from Charmed. ha, probably too young to remember this movie. i agree, the soundtrack was really good

@MrGoblin360 and it was actually written by The Smiths in 1984 and released as a single in 1985... over a decade before The Craft. Love Spit Love did this cover for The Craft, and it later became the Charmed theme. :)

I finally watched this movie a few months ago from beginning to end. This was one of those movies as a kid I probably was too young to fully understand but also I think my mother did not want to watch and back in 1995-1996, watching tv was easily interrupted. This movie captured that era so well. It still had a little of that teen angst or coming of age feel which every kid at that time can relate to. Being that I feel like I never grown up, I still relate to it. Would love to go back live some of these times again.

WOW!!! Junebud, this is superior and OUTSTANDING work. I used to work at MTV in New York in the days when it was still "Music Television" and VH-1 when it was "Video Hits 1" and "Music First." If I were a top performing artist and wanted to make a video, I would not only be asking you to create and produce the video, but BEGGING you to do it with serious dollar signs. Your work with the clips from "The Craft" reflect the song perfectly!

@JadenWolf7

I think she's just lost her mind. She's trying to convince everyone she has powers like flying, because she used to be able to do that, but now she can't do anything because her powers were taken away. Instead of being a dangerous witch, she's just a crazy person now.

The power Nancy and the others had was actually coming from Sarah. She was the battery for the whole coven. Thus, when Sarah bound Nancy, she was taking away the only source of magic she had. She had none naturallynwithin her. However, Nancy is very damaged, and ended up losing control. She summoned too much power into her, and it shattered her, drove her mad. All the time she was saying Sarah was weak, it was really a reflection away from the truth. She knew she was damaged, but could never handle the inner demons. At the end, she was so damaged and nroken, she was strapped to a bed, having hallucinations of flying. If that helps you at all.

How ironic that the ad that played at the bottom of the screen whilst the clip played was for a SPELL check toolbar. For anyone familiar w/actual historical evidence of actual practices, or with the practices of modern adherents, this movie induces a great deal of cringing, but I have to admit that it was fun. Plus, Fairuza Balk rly worked in that role.
