Dude, you need to realize that when a person is talking in general about a group, they aren't talking about specifics. This video shows your emotional immaturity.

Generalizing large groups of people is bad in most cases. If I were to say that "The Right is racist and uneducated" that would be bigoted and bad analysis. Of course, we sometimes need to generalize. But why create more division in an already divided country. I mentioned I have some right-wing friends precisely to show that people can still be good even if I disagree with them on important issues.
@ethanmiller5487

@maks3964 What evidence do you have for specificly "generalizing" causing some "bad"? Saying "I have right-wing friends" is just as dumb as a racist saying, "I have (ethnic group) friends." It means nothing and justifys nothing. @@maks3964 First, I'm glad that you're conceding the first of your points is basically a strawman. Second, it's completely possible for competing groups to collaborate loosely on shared goals. The right does this all the time. Evangelicals, libertarians, labor nativists, and national-security neocons share very little in terms of ideological similarities, but they do collaborate, and if they can do this, why can't the left?

I agree that the culture (academia and Hollywood) in the US has become very leftist. In some cases to the point of absurdity (the idea that you have to be "antiracist" and not just a normal non-racist person). But I think it happened as a spontaneous consequence. As a response to the long history of racism that is still felt today. In the same way in which extreme protestant sects were a reaction to the corruption of The Catholic Church.

A couple of points I'd like to make. I agree with you that if you believe in the 70 year cycle you'll find all the evidence you want. It's part of the problem of starting with a belief and then searching for evidence, you'll definitely find some. With that being said one aspect of the 70 year cycle thats worth exploring is that it's not a singular event once every 70 years that change the world and its more of a 30-40 year period of hardship followed by 30-40 years of growth. You used ww1 and ww2 as an example of mutiple world changing events happening, personally I believe ww2 was a continuation of ww1. Followed by the world wide massive growth afterwards I can definitely see the 70 year cycle accounting for this but I'm not an expert and don't really know. Something else I'd like to ask for clarification. In your video you stated that Stalins isolationism was right wing while Trumps isolationism rhetoric was left wing, am I mistaken in my understanding of your statement? Lastly I'd like to point that Stalins pro life stance was purely in the interest of the state, believing that population growth was the key economic success and believing in the need for soldiers in the future. While modern right wing pro life is from a moral belief that life starts at conception and should not be terminated. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment!

I am glad you asked that about Stalin and isolationism. It is a great question because it illustrates one of the points I was trying to make. Some people (like Whatifalthist) act like Left and Right are positions set in stone. Trocki at the time was The Left of the Soviet Communist Party. And Trocki was an interventionist (permanent revolution). Stalin was an isolationist (at the time that was a rightist communist position). In US politics until recently it was only the Left saying non-interventionism is good. The terms "Left and Right" are used to describe a bunch of different positions that often really do not go well with each other on an intuitive level (Being pro-Palestine is a leftist position and pro-LGBTQ is a leftist position). Or liking Putin and being pro-Israel (both are right-wing positions but just because we defined them to be in the US context. That is why all this talk about how "The Left" is doing "the opposite of what they tell you" (among other reasons) makes no sense. Some Leftists do that but so do people on the Right. We are just talking about a bunch of political positions that we decided to put under the same label. That is why very few people fall completely under one of those 2 terms.

I disagree with Whatifalthist being more reasonable when he was younger. You're forgetting his content went from Alternate History to modern day socio-political analyses and saying the end is nigh. The issue is the latter is a lot more opinion-based. All he really does now is give his opinions, predictions, and observations of current socio-political trends. So there's more room for you to disagree. Even if alternate history is made up, most people won't argue much unless you get an aspect of existing history horribly wrong.

13:02 i disagree, Tearing down race and ethnicity is only a symptom, not a cause. When those groups become overburdened and have different priorities, they will turn to the options that is the easiest to fall to, Unfortunately that almost always end up in hatred... If you tear down race, they will make something new and just as arbitrary/beyond individual control. Class is just as arbitrary, because as much power as class has it actually doesn't detail anything about the vital nature of BOTH classes. A body needs it's multiple organs to function, The working class is the muscle and bones The "landowners" class is the co-ordination of those muscles and bones, in fact the left has purposefully neglected to even understanding what they actually do because it's very implication is something they viciously hate but cannot deny. It's order and the people who establish it. Order in their eyes is oppression But religious faith alongside the efforts of the church, the rule of aristocrats and generally the ventures of businessmen gave people purpose and have saved countless lives not only physical but as also acted as a stable foundation for civilisational understand... Without which rulers and those at the grassroots of society would essentially not have information or tools open to them to solve their issues and so absolutely everyone would be too underdeveloped to help anyone else, or become isolated as they become self-reliant and in constant vigilance to stay safe and relatively stable.
