HUUUGEE thanks to all who upvoted on the launch ❤ You made it go into top 10!! First time is always difficult, and all of this was a big, super insightful learning. And before I forget: until the end of the month we have an early adopter 40% off discount on videofyles.com?ref=yt: LAUNCH40

Hey, you can convert this tool to api endpoint where developer can submit video to your server and you will return compressed video like WhatsApp compressed videos, like 100mb to 5 to 15 mbs 😄

shiiit dude. after 2 yrs of grinding after quitting my job, multiple burnouts, i have also not made $1 online. i think all the time about how the easiest money is to just work a job. but it’s like you said, each failure is just another step towards success

Oh it definitely is.. Sometimes thinking back to those times lol. But man you also have quite the journey behind you!! Someone commented on one of the early videos, i should stop building and go read "Million Dollar Weekend". Of course i didn't stop. But reading the book now. And it's pretty good (although simplistic but most of these are). One of the main ideas, to start with customers, not with the product. That's I think the biggest mistake that happened here, not sure how this is for you. But in the book he suggests to first put all time you have into getting a few presales for your product, before you actually build it out. If it happens - good, validated, continue. If not, try with new ideas and that validation until it happens. It's not the only way, but I think it's a much better way than ending up with no clear market and communication channels...

Thanks! First time ever making it to an "actual" launch. It's such a hack to build a project quick and see how it turns out rather than getting hung up in details for months... Like i've done the 1.5 years before

You rock! Thank you for sharing the lows (and not only the highs) and reflecting on it all as you experience it. I've faced so many of the same struggles. Spent 2 years building a product nobody wanted - thankfully as a side-project. Quit my job to focus on entrepreneurship but still haven't figured out the audience/buyer + marketing side down at all. Been doing freelance consulting work to make money but of course it ends up competing for time with the app building haha. Recently spent 2 months building an app I thought would take me a week - now it's done and I'm hesitating on doing outreach for no good reason at all. I need to figure out how to get over that hump of reaching out to people like you mentioned. Let me know if you have any tips on that! Thanks again for the great video and congrats on your launch!

Ah thanks man, sounds like you know the struggles... Do you know which kind of people you can reach out to? As in, what to type into the search bar on LinkedIn for example? For it it helped a lot that i got a mate with the project who pushed me to do the things i didn't like. Signed up for the LinkedIn premium trial which allows you to do infinite texts with the connection request, and then started contacting people. The first 5 were hard, then it got easier, and after 50 it was the most normal thing on earth. Or do you perhaps know people who know people? Such contacts can also make it easier for starting... Also when you realize that there's no way around doing it, it gets easier to get over that initial barrier, which i know too well too! What's your app?

The product looks neat, but I think that it would be better if you added a low quality preview for the video.
@StartupGodsDontRespond
Ай бұрын
Yep thought about something like this too... Thing is that the program runs on the user's computer, which means every "preview" is actually an output file.. So then it could also create the actual file already right away. Need to think a bit more about this

I know exactly how you feel brother. I'm in my 3rd week after launch and things are not as i expected, made $5 so far. i've also quit my job 3 month ago and have around 6 month run away. Difference is i'm solo and built a marketplace, which is massive work, and gotta recruit both sides. dollars are going every day for ads. what do you suggest bro?
@StartupGodsDontRespond
Ай бұрын
that's a tough one with a marketplace... Do you have any marketing channels other than paid ads? Like social media, or direct outreach or so?
@JonibekJ
Ай бұрын
@@StartupGodsDontRespond no, currently my social media is pretty much empty, also have no time to generate content outside of doing the work. Doing SEO though, making pages rank. Today turned off Google ads, cause it is drinking my cash.

Selling expensive stuff to them is also hard af. Either your products need to cheap or extremely important to their life. And even amazon is getting losses here in india
@StartupGodsDontRespond

That's what i'd expect too, since wealth is lower in those countries so people from there have less to spend on such software tools

How to search for the idea and how to validate it,if it's market fit or not.
@StartupGodsDontRespond
Ай бұрын
I'm currently reading "Million Dollar Weekend", it's really good to answer this question and easy to follow. Basically you got to find people who could be your customers, reach out to them and try to get a few pre-sales with those people. If you can get any money from anyone, it's great validation.

Always put each activity in time blocks into the calendar, so manually... And then different sub-calendars for different types of activities (technical, marketing, personal etc)
