Eddie Glaude is the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American Studies and Chair of the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University. A scholar of American pragmatism and African American religious history and its place in American public life, Dr. Glaude is the author of the new book "Democracy in Black: How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul" (Crown, 2016), which examines the state of black America and fiercely contests the notion of a post-racial society.
