Fun fact.. Barbara Alston, Mary Thomas and Myrna Gerard, three of the original members of The Crystals recorded their first single, 1961"There's No Other" while wearing their prom dresses as they had come to the recording studio straight from the CCHS ( later Norman Thomas High School) prom.

One of the greatest "accidental hits' in rock history. This was the B side, with "Oh Yeah, Maybe Baby" being the intended 'hit'. Disc jockeys started flipping the disc, and playing 'There's No Other', and it was a smash, putting Philles Records on the map. Regardless, Spector was taken aback, hoping the more adventurous A side would have been favored over this Chantels-styled "older sound".
