i remember leaving my lover's house after a night of loving each other. i had to leave, when all i ever wanted then was to sleep at his side. With all my heart, i did not wanted to return home. When i did, i played this song on my phone walking back home in the rainy and dark night. The cure makes the soundtrack of my life.

i'm 45, and disintegration was the start of my deep love for music back in '89 when i was 14. i fell in love with so many bands and artists of so many styles of music, but this song, homesick, i really have to say, is the most beautiful song ever. i've listen to maybe more than a thousand times and it still let the tears flow.

In 2006 I spent 5 weeks in ITU close to death with peritonitis, this was the song that kept playing with such clarity in my head, whilst in a drug induced state of confusion. This song took me to the edge of existence but brought me back from not being here. Words cannot describe the beauty of this song and what it means to me. Forever the Cure.

I was driving back from the beach..it was the first summer I was there without my daughter, who my ex had been keeping from me for 5 months. My son and I missed her so much. He was in the back seat asleep and my girlfriend was wiping this tears away from my face as I listened to disintegration in its entirety. The radio towers blinking red against the night sky in late august made them even more pronounced, and they remind me of daughter as that is one of our (things) together. Love song comes on and I truly couldn’t hold anything back at that point. I had been so numb for months, that I didn’t look visibly distressed, but the rears were just rolling down onto my shirt, endlessly. Finally once that song was over I calmed down a bit. As I heard the last few instruments fade away on disintegration, I shut off the video. As that was the last song on the album, or so I had previously thought. For the next 40 minutes I tried to articulate passionately the sense of awe that song (and many others by the cure) gives me, telling her I refused to play more music because “what am I suppose to follow that up with?” you’ll be happy to know. I experienced homesick for the first time that night, accidentally hitting next on the KZitem playlist, as well as the untitled song to follow. You’ll be even happier to know I got my daughter back

I remember slow dancing to this song with who was then the love of my life. I had just run away that day to the fact that this song was played really seemed fitting. I remember how when the song was over and I was feeling so emotional I looked up and saw my dad standing there crying. He had been watching me and I think he then realized how things were for me at that age. Things were better between us after that night. Damn now I am gonna cry lol

Disintegratiom was a masterpiece. I sae them on the prayer tour. Jt was magical. Plainsong to open up was awesome. The crowd was awesome..total fans. Fans that knew staring at the sea etc. The. I saw them when they did wish tour. Uggg. I mean same band but those fruity pop songs. Ehhhh And the crowd was a bunch of 12 yr olds who just saw their video on mtv. Just vert mediocre feel. The prayer tour. Disintegration. Magical. Just outta this world. I like my cure dark weird Wisb tour. Just not the same. Too poppy and rhe fans werent the same. Peace ** fascination st got me into them. I heard just like heaven of course but when i heard fascination and saw rhe video i was like What the fukkk is that? Yo. That song was crazy nuts. The groove. The instruments. The intro. Pure gothic weird energy

Not an easy song to capture live because so much is improvised. The interaction between the bass and the piano is the key to a good version of the song. This version really works! Roger and Simon are slightly out of time to begin with, but as soon as Jason comes in everything is under control. Wonderful song!

Life. A finite cycle of events, meetings, and departures. Friends discovered, others forgotten. Reminiscing everyone I've encountered. Do these memories have a purpose in my head, or will they simply fade into obscurity, never to be remembered again. Nothing seems the way I once knew, everything is altered. Living in a disillusioned state as the world's time brinks near my end. I so fond for the yonder, outside this crowded and fruitless place.
