He is an excellent musician for me and I think for many music critics. I don't think all the songs on The Cure sound the same. You should listen to some of their records to realise it. He may be somewhat eccentric, but that doesn't mean that he is not a good musician that he is. This band has always been alternative that the only thing they wanted is to make music with a different style, that is being a good musician, in my opinion.

The Cure is my life, a substance thicker than everything else, the yolk compared to the empty shell of the ordinary world. Robert is my distant cousin, was in my (late) Grandma's 1978(?) Family Reunion Photograph which she showed me before I knew of The Cure. When my Grandma pointed him out she said he was in a POP group LOL!! I was "The 🕷man" of the Lullaby song, I actually licked Robert's eyes when he came over to my friends house - so Robert & Simon grabbed me & pulled me upside down, to which I said: "it's TORTURE, but I'm almost there!". Later we started a group called The Smiths, and I took on the pen name Morrisey.. amongst my other STAGEnames: Adamski, David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Billy Corgan, Eminem, Perry Farrell, Wayne G, Michael Hutchence, Michael Jackson (the one at Neverland Ranch was a doppleganger/impersonator, - I have lots of them!!), Trent Reznor, Axl Rose, Troye Sivan, Steven Strange, Justin Timberlake, Sid Vicious, Scott Weiland, Robbie Williams, Roz Williams, Rob Zombie. 😀 I was also the "Little" Robert Smith in the Boys Dont Cry vid & also the Bloodflowers album cover artist. I still love Robert even though he hates Morrisey 😜 oxoxo

Love Cats was a necessary change. Things were falling apart. It was down to only Robert and Lol at that point. I think they did that song out of frustration. Eventually it led to a reformed, revamped Cure that put out two of the best albums ever: Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, and Disintegration. Where things went wrong again was Wild Mood Swings. You had to be a Cure fan to buy that. You had to already be hooked. Their lowest was probably their self-titled album, ironically. Bloodflowers was good, but The Cure? Psh. I stopped paying attention to anything after that. Now they're just resting on their laurels, playing all the outdoor concerts they can, raking in tons of money.

@@chocomanger6873 I Think Wild Mood Swings was their lowest. Bloodflowers is like a combination of Seveteen Seconds and Disintegratrion, in my opinion is one of their best. Laura Basto your opinion. Seems more agree with me though. Especially since the EP sold well. Robert Smith loved their cover so much that had them cover Just Like Heaven for an MTV event they both attended.

Well, maybe you're right, there are good bands nowadays, because I really like music and I try to find that feeling or that something in a song, but, let's be real, no one will never ever compare to The cure. That's for sure!

I saw the Cure do this song at the Hollywood Palladium in ‘84: there were about 20 of us in the audience…..And THEN all the geeks and Poseurs discovered them. Depressing after that. Soon your JERK FOOTBALL Players and Cheerleaders loved 🥰 our Group. What a depressing moment in L.A. after these jerkoffs discovered (and then abandoned) them. One thing about my hometown Hollywood-the poseurs always infiltrate and use and go on to the next!!

Pornography has always been my favorite album. It's light years better than the rest of their catalogue.
