I was given this as a birthday gift back in the 70's, along with his enemy Maskatron which was taken from the episode, Day of the Robot & played by late actor John Saxon.

Very Cool~~ Your version of The Six Million Dollar Man figure is the revised second version of the first version aka Engine Block release around the spring of 1976. In 1975 just in time for Christmas when Steve Austin was released he had a non-removable left arm and elastic sewed in around the ends of his track-shirt, now here is the reason for the recall and revised second version that would come out quite a few month's later. Children of the 70's broke the non-removable arm mainly just because you could remove the Bionic Arm on and off, parents wrote and complain about there broke toys and Kenner quickly fix that issue!

When we were kids. My parents for various Christmas' got my little brother, The Six Million Dollar Man doll, and Maskatron doll. MANY Star Wars toys and action figures, as Star Wars had recently come out. My sister had The Bionic Woman doll. Cher doll. Donny & Marie dolls. THEY DON'T HAVE ANY OF THEM ANYMORE. I AM PISSED. LOL. Back in the 70s, as kids the idea of COLLECTING, just did not exist, as least for us. One played with their toys til they broke, or til we lost interest in them, then we threw them away, or gave them away, or they got lost. TOTALLY KICKING MYSELF NOW. TOTALLY !!!

I remember my 2 bratty neighbors getting all the bionic man accessories and leaving them out in the rain and mud. Even his bionic eye was clogged with dirt. I rescued a few of their mistreated toys till my mom found them hidden in the basement. Had to return them😪. Love your channel Sean.

brings back happy memories i watch the tv show when i was 7 back in 76,, every Saturday my sister and I would be glued to the seat for the next installment, i also had the doll i I literary play it to death till the point its arm unfortunately broke off got a replacement, and when the bionic woman came out a spin off of the 6 million dollar man, my sister got the doll, 😂 i notice one off your dolls the rubber skin is peeling, there's another KZitem channel on a guy that restore his Steve Austin, till it looks like it came out mint from the factory.

That’s awesome! I remember my mom use to get super mad when my sister and I would roll up the latex arms (my sister had the Bionic Woman). I guess it grossed her out? The fun of being a kid in the 70’s I guess. Man, that box is killer! Thanks for sharing. Have a good week my friend!

That’s a great piece! I have my original figure from my 10th bday. It’s in fairly good shape. The latex is gone but it still has that “plastic” smell. Like play dough, it takes me back...I had the rocket/operating room but my mom must’ve sold it at the dreaded garage sale!

Kind of a small engine considering the scale of the action figure. I still have mine, but the engine block actually looks better with the 8" 2012 reissue, as it is more scaled to the size. I have 8" reissues of Steve Austin, Fembot, Bigfoot, Rudy Wells and Oscar Goldman. Steve comes in three different versions, the traditional red tracksuit, khaki outfit as seen on the tv show, and khaki outfit with season 4 mustache. I had enough sense now as an adult to keep them in the package.
