Highly useful Nic. I did my Ph. D in Medical Physics and one of my research projects was about how neurons of a particular region in the brain would synchronize to do a particular task, and when we switch to another task (of a different intensity), the neurons would desynchronize and then, resynchronize to another frequency. The more we do it, the more fatigue it results in, and also lesser ability to focus. Thanks for sharing your routine :)

I always knew working on opposing tasks drained more energy but the trouble I had and still working on is figuring it out. So many different task types. This is the first video I found that is helpful on batching.

Mannn!!! This video came just at the right time... I'm on 100 days challenge.... And all I've to do is work while not burn out. This batching concept was totally new to me. Although my routine looks very much same but I need to put more focus in here. Thanks so much 😊❤

This is the first daily routine video with actionable advice. Batching actives to reduce switching cost makes so much sense. And as a bonus you listed the 6 activities for actually running a service business. I feel like that component always gets ignored.

This was super helpful. I've tested out different schedule structures and they never stick (for the reason you pointed out - I'm not batching tasks). I'm going to give this a shot.

Thank you for sharing this Nicholas. All of the concepts you shared here are entirely new to me that I heard from you. And I couldn't be happier to hear new ideas from you. Over the last few months, much of the content that I have read or heard from you has been things I have consumed from you in the past. So, I was looking forward to new things that you share. I understand that sharing information that already works is good for you when new viewers come in. But as an old subscriber, I really miss you coming up with newer information.

I thought it was interesting to have that 8am cold outreach hour, and then start the deep work. I'm going to experiment with this schedule. My hypothesis is that the cold outreach hour will create a dopamine rush to start deep work with, being so happy that I've gotten something I might otherwise stress out about in the morning looking ahead to it later in the day.

More of this content please! It was helpful, attainable, and honest. Able to apply this video ten seconds after watching it. How would take this method for a dad who works a 9-5?
@nicolascole77

Thanks for letting me know! Short answer with 9-5 is you have to either wake up early or stay up late. No other way around it. (Which I did for years.)

Thanks Cole for the video! Currently I'm not at this stage yet. I'm still reading your online writing book, posting daily on X and investigating Quora, Medium, and Substack to see where I want to start with long form writing. After 30-45 days of consistency I'll begin reading The Art and Business of Ghostwriting.

Great stuff, Nicolas, thanks for sharing. I just orderd your 2 books, by the way. I'm trying to do some math here. According to this schedule, you put forward 3 hours of actual work for your clients per day (9-12 a.m.) Let's make this 6 days a week, that is 18 hours a week, 72 hours a month. You were making at that time $20000 a month, that is $277 per hour. Am I doing this right? That's a hell of an hourly rate! (I'm sure you were charging by the job and not the hour, though). Anyway. This is inspiring.
