Some of the clips show people and animals in extreme life threatening situations. To someone who's been through that it could trigger a traumatic response and in worst case for example make it impossible to go to work today. PTSD is no joke. And it's horrible being subjected to its triggers without consent. That's where this video is so brilliantly made - the clips are also narrated so you can keep up if for what ever reason you're unable to watch.

Not everyone’s a hero, but everyone recognizes good and evil. I think most will act on the part of good when the situation requires it, no matter how much evil they’ve done. Most people says: "we need more people like that" But why don't we start to be like it. We do more positive things to other and others will do the same. It's that simple. Don't wish other people to do it. Start doing it yourself :)

In Sydney, the drivers have the habit of letting "trapped" drivers into the flow of traffic because there aren't traffic lights everywhere. It wasn't like the Sydney drivers all had a conference and decided to do that. Some people did it and then others copied because kindness and consideration can be catching.

Yeah, just become a PC Nanny State, like China, the least charitable nation on the planet where people won't even try to help a toddler wandering in the road, but will record him on their phones until he's run over, after which they'll carry on recording until he's run over again, and then walk off. The least caring nation, individually.. Problem is, The Uber-Carers that care too much set up God-awful nanny states that stop people caring for each other.. We're seeing a bizarre mixture of the 2 at the moment in the West - Libs divided into happy-slapping, gang-warring idiots, with welfare and free healthcare, school, ++ that don't give a damn and those that want to build the Commy Uber Nanny State - the PC Wokees... Bleating Heart Libs like Fry and co. (The BBC - most anti British Native propaganda channel on the planet).

To sum up the video title: Why you should not resort to random acts of kindness? There’s no reason not to. After just getting done with work (still on the clock) I saw a person’s garage on fire. I stopped to warn them (With my co-worker) and called 911. It was just the right thing to do. We drove by the house a couple of days later and it looks like we basically saved the whole house as everything was already patched with some basic plywood, and it appeared to have minimal damage. We also left before the firemen got there, after all we had a job to finish (just had to return our work vehicle).

I found this video really uplifting. In a world where money talks and bulcrap walks and you can live next door to you're neighbour for years without ever knowing who they are; I've found myself in recent years losing faith in humanity. Then I come across this video, which KZitem warned me could be upsetting for some people. I'm smiling now and hope you do more videos similar to this. I always look forward to Pindex content because you explain science in a way that's easy for an uneducated man like myself to both understand and comprehend. I've always been interested in all that nerdy stuff! However this video really helped my mentality. I'm not sure how to explain it but I just felt really uplifted after viewing it. I must've seen thousands of videos over the years but none had such a profound effect on me as this one has. A special thanks to all at Pindex. KZitem should be ashamed of themselves for flagging such a beautiful piece of art.

The climate will always change there is nothing you can do to stop it , instead start talking about pollution which is more of a human factor in destroying nature
@Mel-qr5ob

In order of priority: 1 - Voting for people who have climate policy/action on their agenda, or at the very least, aren't climate deniers. This is the most important thing you can do. The majority of emissions are emitted commercially and the only thing that can force them to reduce their emissions is the government. 2 - Reducing your meat consumption. The meat industry is 15'/, of global emissions. I'm not saying "go vegan". But even a meatless monday would help reduce your footprint. Or if you're willing to do the extra work, having a meatless week with one day a week of meat eating, is even better. 3 - Turning off appliances when they aren't being used. For example, some people leave their lights and AC/heatpump on full blast even when they aren't at home. Pls don't. There are ways you can set a timer for things to turn on 1hr before you get home if walking into a warm home is super important to you. 4 - reducing your vehicle fuel consumption. You could take public transport, bike, or carpool to work. You can organize to have any 'in town' chores done on the same outing(groceries, shopping etc), to reduce the number of times you go back and forth. You can reduce the number of flights you take as well. 5 - reducing the fuel consumption in what you buy. For example, bananas from Ecuador are going to have a much higher footprint than oranges from your home country. Reducing the number of international products you buy, for instance, yes you can buy a great keyboard on Amazon which will be shipped over from China.... but you could also just go to your local electronics shop to buy one, even uf they got theirs from China too, it takes less fuel for them to buy in bulk, than for you as a individual to buy just one. 6 - I put this last since it requires huge financial investment, you could install solar panels on your roof to reduce or eliminate you use of fossil fuels to power your home. Although people will recommend things like "Don't buy X, Y and Z product but A B and C are okay" I don't recommend following those sorts of recommendations unless you're really passionate about it. You'll get empathy burnout from trying to read the backs of every package and hunt through supermarkets, or even multiple stores to find the correct products.
@JayLikesLasers

@@Mel-qr5ob Your advice is good. But I expect that turning off appliances would be much further down the list. I would vote number three to be either a choice of green transport/public transport or to avoid using air travel if possible. But yes the biggest positive changes must come from governments, corporations and farming/agriculture.
@Mel-qr5ob
3 жыл бұрын
@@JayLikesLasers it depends more where you live compared to your work, what home heating appliances you have, and what car you drive. I put it as a higher priority than car driving because some people have no choice but to drive themselves. For instance my friend lives 1hr out of town... what's she gonna do? carpool with cows? However leaving on a appliance you don't use is just wasteful regardless of your circumstances. I'm only a 15min drive away from my work so even if I'm only driving myself to work it creates less emissions (2000lb CO2) than if I left my heat pump on at home all day(2500lb CO2). Which apparently some people do. Although yes I will add in flights. I completely forgot about those with covid and all.
