Very interesting and similar. Our ram needs replacing. To do that job safely, as I understand it, all hydraulics need to be retracted before opening, correct? We have a simple system so we have a single ram for the slide out, and another valve that actuates the landing gear. I was planning on having the landing gear fully withdrawn before opening the system. Any advice? I hear these systems are self priming but somehow I wonder if I'd best prefill the ram before installing.

Hey, that looks familiar. I have since spoken with the owners of a couple of other Big Horns in the RV park here in Morro Bay and they weren't aware of this potential issue. I hope to change them in the next couple of days. Thanks for all the service.

The coroplast belly was completely saturated with fluid. I had to cut out about a 3' section in order to drain and remove all the damage. Do you sell smaller amounts of coroplast? I need about a 3' wide section to fit between the frame rails? In other words, about 7' by 3'. Venders only seem to carry the stuff in 20’ minimum lengths at extremely high prices.

i just want you to know that I have been trying to determine a route cause for this on my recent purchase as all 3 slides have now failed and this was by far the best explanation for why they failed. The previous owner never retracted the slides and it sits in a coastal property front, so they were rusted to no end. As it's hurricane season I wanted to retract the slides for security, and they all ruptured. Thank you for the help. Any videos on how to repair?

I changed the rams yesterday. A lot of fluid had accumulated on the Coroplast belly pan. I got a bit of a face full (more like a Dextron shampoo).
