Bane hits the stock exchange to steal Bruce Wayne's money. All material owned by Warner Bros. For entertainment purposes only. Buy the movie on Blu-ray.
To be perfectly fair, I think being kidnapped by Bane is less stressful than actual investment banking.

Not like generic, clichéd pussywipes who think they're hot shit for "looking menacing and being in control". Bane is literally by his actions saying: "Fuck this, I want this done right and I will make sure it gets fucking done right." Being over-reliant on your goons vs being on location alongside them is a lot less intimidating. Besides, people get to see you're not fucking afraid to show your face and you're actually throwing yourself into the frey, even if it means sacrificing your own life for your own goals.

Bane says "Thank you" to the guy holding his helmet because he's a fellow working man - you can tell by his jacket Bane took over Gotham under the guise of a Socialist Revolution....His army lived underground and they were disguised as common working men...Food deliverymen, shoe shiners, janitors...Bane was disguised as a bike messenger This film was very timely because it came out the same time that the Occupy Wall Street movement was in full swing...This scene represents the common man rising up against the forces of capitalism, and the 1%

The "Nations" you now so vehemently defend against the "globalist scourge", are in fact the realized nightmares of the freedom fighters so cherished throughout western history. They have been so since their inceptions. Selective tribalism has only served to delay the inevitable. And to amplify its repercussions.

"Bruce Wayne is bankrupted after Bane and his minions break into the stock exchange, hold everyone there at gunpoint, and make fake trades in Bruce's name using his (stolen) fingerprints. In reality, the major stock exchanges have the ability to quickly cancel trades if necessary and Bruce Wayne would have been easily able to get off the hook for those fraudulent trades. This is acknowledged in the movie a couple of scenes later when Lucius Fox tells Bruce that they'll be able to prove fraud but that in the immediate short term, Bruce is bankrupted. This also assumes that the computer program wasn't somehow inserting backdated trades into the system. Though that would presumably leave a trace, it would certainly take much longer to disentangle. The whole situation is played similarly to a robbery or large-scale embezzlement. It's lampshaded by people on the floor."

@@eeeeeeeize for anyone who sees these comments, the stock exchange would simply halt trades for the day in the event of an attack. It'd happen within minutes. Any trades attempted would be reversed or not allowed given the situation. There have been plenty of even non terror attack examples, such as squirrels chewing power lines for example or due to faulty hardware / software that showcase my point. And no, it wouldn't take weeks or months for him to recover his money. It'd take days at worst as it'd be easily proven through the attack related evidence. Like for example, during the attack magically somehow Bruce loses ALL of his money on a series of insane trades all in a SINGLE DAY that cost him BILLIONS. A judge would temporarily put a hold on the transactions until the matter was fully investigated. Also, FYI, someone as rich as a Billionaire wouldn't simply have all their money in stock. For example, Bill Gates has almost 300k acres in farm land, not to mention buildings he either owns or rents. Not to mention even if he had all his money in stocks somehow and the transactions weren't almost immediately stopped or shut down or not quickly given back to him . . .he'd still very easily be able to get a short-term loan given the situation lol. This type of attack would never succeed in real life for all the reasons I mentioned.

Minh Quan It would have been amazing to see this story over two films, with Bane actually ruling Gotham for decades, and Wayne coming back, or even Blake replacing him. Although I liked Blake's character I would have preferred an Azrael-like replacement for Wayne, someone much harsher and crazier than the original - then again, I guess with Azrael as Batman and Bane ruling as a Red Hood-style vigilante dictator, it would be kind of hard to tell the difference!
