Fun fact! Folklorists have studied and agreed that most fairy tales we know today actually have no traceable origin. There are a few (like The Little Mermaid) that do have books they're based off of. However there are stories (Like Snow White) that are simply another version of the same plot and stock characters that have been told all around the world for centuries. In fact folklorists think the first "Snow White" story may have been told orally in China around 50 BC. There are tons of stories that are classified by fairy tale from different parts of the world in different parts of time and that is really fascinating! So while I absolutely love the Grimm versions they are NOT the originators for any fairy tales like many people seem to think! It doesn't make their versions (or any of these versions) wrong, because all them follow the same plot and category classifications. It just means they aren't the First. Regardless I love folklore so thank you for this!!
@ambrosia7801

Most writers who wrote the fairytales were historians and.From information of different mythologies wrote or borrowed tales from the original mythology tales and made it there own and for a lesson.Also sources of real creatures and urban legends of real instances of cases with... witches,werewolf's,faeries,elves,and vampires,mermaids and spirits or,the creatures amoung the living folks of the faeries as well.So read up a little bit more because you may not have the full answer as you may think you do.??? (Fun fact) The original drafts of the most famous fairytales you know might not be the one that everyone must have read before the later ones. Since of all peoples complainte's of it being to dark for a child to read,they simple stated they didn't write it for children they writen it for the parents to read to their children about what's going on in the world and for the child to be prepared or that will be your very unfortunate fate.

@@sloppiesweeaboocorner Well if it had ended the way the author wanted, it would have looked more messed up. That hanging was suppose to be the end. It's not that it can't be an interesting book, I just never could get on board with the main character. He never sat well with me. Even in the Disney movie, I didn't like him and combine that with my tendency to stronger reactions to things in animation then live action, the creepy things like the string dance and turning into a donkey and all, just sealed it's fate.

My favorite Disney movie is The Lion King. Beautiful animation, music, and characters, amazing development, fresh new take on a variety of old stories, and just being super nostalgic to me. BUT my fav Disney movie based off a fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast. Unlike its source material, there’s not really anything that feels forced in it(like the Beast actually taking care of Beauty’s father but then losing his shit because he took a flower, at least in the movie, the Beast has a reason to get crazy over it, it also makes sense within the film’s universe), the animation is simply breathtaking, and the romance and growth Belle and the Beast have together is simply amazing. They never say how long they’ve actually gotten to know each other, and that’s awesome, we can interpret it as however long we want it to be so that way their relationship feels natural. Also the really inventive thing they did with the villain being viewed as a hero but is really cruel and vile deep down inside, BRILLIANT I SAY! BRILLIANT!

Must say I heard a slightly different version of Rapunzel when I was young, up until the prince shows up it mostly goes the same, he gets into the tower, but instead of the witch catching him in the tower, she sees him leaving, and being a devious old witch she then proceeds to cut off Rapunzel's hair and lies in wait, the next time the prince shows up he calls out to get back in the tower, the witch throws the hair out of the tower so he can climb up and as he makes it to the top, she stabs him in the chest and pushes him right out the tower where he dies on impact with the hard ground. You know, something you'd tell a child for their bedtime story.

Interesing how Disney takes these complex stories with a moral and realistic dark elements and turns them into vapid family entertainment/programming, it's becuase Disney is a satnanic corperation. BTW in the original Rapunzel the mother was NOT willing to give up her child, the father made that deal with the witch unbeknownst to the wife... Because she demanded it and craved the Rapunzel so badly but she didint know the price for her craving. She was destraught when the witch came to take her child. Btw you can say rape on your channel.. it might help some young girl some where.. no joke. Will that get you demonetized or something?
