Javier Zanetti is one of the two of my true idols. I grew up looking up to him. He had a chance to join Madrid when he was younger, I think around late 90s. He went through up and down with Inter yet he never wavered. He never tackle dirty, rarely got card and he never over argue with referee yet he always stood up for his teammates. He could play as defender, wingback, defensive midfielder, hell, I think he played as winger too in case of emergency. For me, Zanetti and Maldini are the kind of mem I wish I could've been.

A study was conducted that deduced around 38% of footballers suffer from anxiety or depression and 25% have a dependency on alcohol. This is why I find it disgusting how “football twitter” goes on personal attacks which are flat out bullying, see Harry Maguire for reference. These guys aren’t characters on a TV show, they’re people so treat them as such, they have as many problems as the next person on the street because money, wealth and fame doesn’t mean you’re not susceptible to mental health issues.

Men don't deny that mental health exists, its just that we acknowledge that we must push through regardless of it. Because like shown here, if you don't, you won't achieve your goals. Which is very different than women, women will be nurtured through it. Men don't get the same treatment, because the world is on our shoulders.
@ADthehawk
10 ай бұрын
@@J040PL7 what rubbish. If you are in trouble, seek help. If you don't, the chances that you can't push through will be higher. This is the same for men and women. It's not like depression is nice for women or something or if they are appreciated for having paranoia.
@ADthehawk
10 ай бұрын
@@J040PL7 the longer you will try to explain mental health by men being able to "push through", the less likely you will be to seek help and get better. This is no joke. This is why men commit suicides so much more often. Women do not need to face that pressure about "pushing through" that you exemplified as often as men. And that is the real difference between men and women with mental health issues. Be a real man and encourage other men to seek help.
