😂🤣🤣🤣🤣That goalie pull aged us all quicker than a decade in a day spa! And poor Bouchard, thinking Skinner was just chilling & ready in the net, but oh no, Knobbs had other plans! Bouchard's hockey smarts were like, "Sure, Skinner, I will let you see this shot!" 😂 Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions, am I right?

@@Crypto-Innovation The goalie pull was desperate although that game shouldn't have come to having to rely on putting 6 non-goalie skaters on the ice just to try to score a 2nd goal when the Oilers should've scored at least TWO, ideally THREE, by that point.

The fact Stu has been this good so far is amazing. Pulling the goalie on this team is not going to go well regardless. Stars can turnover pucks better than most teams in the league. I’m confident in this team I’ll take the split. 🧡💙👍

It would've been nice for the Oilers to go up 2-0 in that series but at least they don't have such a lead to blow. Last month the Golden Knights won both the 1st 2 games at American Airlines Center to go up 2-0 in that conference quarterfinal, only to lose 4 of the remaining 5 to lose that series in 7.

While game 2 didn't end in our favor, there's plenty of reason to stay positive! Splitting the series 1-1 means we're coming back home to Oil Country with the chance to seize the advantage on our home ice. Props to Connor Brown for lighting the lamp, and big shoutout to Skinner for standing strong in the crease. Sure, there's lots to discuss, but let's take a moment to appreciate the resilience of our team and the thrilling journey ahead. So grab your snacks, your drinks, and let's get ready to rally behind our Oilers in Game 3! 🏒💙🧡 nice video keep up the good work cheers

Hopefully at worst the Oilers will go back to Dallas with a 2-2 tie in the series. That said, home ice isn't everything it's cracked out to be, with the: - Winnipeg Jets' having gone 1-2 in their only 2024 playoff series at Canada Life Centre, with it quite possibly having had to do, given the 5-game loss of that series, with the series having started at that home arena of the Jets - Leafs' having, in their 2024 playoff series, won just 1 game at home: game 6 (vs having gone 2-2 at TD Garden, home of the Bruins)

@@Crypto-Innovation I have cautious optimism the Oilers will at worst go back to American Airlines Center with a 2-2 tie in that series. This conference final doesn't appear to be for them like the 2022 one, with neither game having so far featured 3 or more non-empty-net goals allowed in either game. That 2022 CF featured 4 or more goals allowed in each game including EN goals allowed in the 1st and 3rd games. Only in the 3rd game of that earlier CF, before factoring in EN goals, did the Oilers not allow 4 or more but they still allowed 3, with Mikko Rantanen having scored an EN goal with 30 seconds to go in game 3 (a 4-2 Avs' win). That earlier CF featured the Oilers' home venue and that of the Avs in the same time zone (Mountain). Although the AA Center and Rogers Place are in the respective Central and Mountain Daylight time zones, there's really just an hour's difference between the 2 venues. Getting used to time changes should be more of a breeze than it's likely to be for the Oilers should they qualify for the Stanley Cup final. At least the Oilers, should their conference final go 7 games and they win that earlier round, will have 3 calendar days Mountain Time off to fly into South Florida or 1 of the NYC metro area airports depending on the winner of the Eastern Conference final because that Cup final: - is scheduled to begin on Saturday 8 June MDT - has 2 days MDT off between each of games: -- 2 and 3 (10 and 13 June MDT respectively) -- 4, 5, 6 and 7 (15, 18, 21 and 24 MDT respectively)

Earlier in the playoffs I thought Nuge should be put down to the third line, with Henrique up on the first. Since AH is returning from injury, I would have him start on the 3rd. I would also consider shuffling the line order. With CMD, follwed by 3rd, LD, then 4th. Just to be clear i would keep the ice time simular. I just think that this would allow Edmonton to maintain pressure for longer periods of time. Currently we have two attacking lines play for total of 5 mins followed by 2-3 mins of back peddling. Then the cycle repeats. I thing that by splitting our two strong attacking lines will allow the 3rd line to come in to hold pressure for1-2 mins, then hit with more sustained offencive pressure. It would also allow Edmonton to force more mismatched line assessments.

@@josephtylerdc9830 The Stars lost their 1st 2 games of this postseason in their own arena to go down to the Golden Knights 2-0 in that conference quarterfinal, going onto post in that series a 2-2 record at American Airlines Center vs 2-1 at T-Mobile Arena. The Avs-Stars series featured the Stars go 3-0 at Ball Arena despite that arena having long been based over 1 km above sea level. That said, I can't think of an NHLer who, simply by having played at Ball Arena, has ever come down with altitude sickness. The Stars have this postseason been a good away team but the Oilers have a 4-2 relevant home record. Away from home the Oilers have a 5-3 record for an overall record this postseason of 9-5 including 2-1 in games decided in OT. It's tempting to think that the Oilers, should they win game 3 of this month's Western Conference final, won't have to win consecutive games to win that round. Yet the Oilers-Canucks series featured wins of consecutive games by those same Oilers after the Canucks had gone up 3-2 in that series, so it's possible the Stars will do the reverse if the Oilers aren't careful.

Personally I think it might actually be good for the oilers to switch it up a bit into a more gritty style with some grittier players Of course speed is edmonton's bread and butter and you dont want to give that up completely but catching Dallas off guard with a more grindy style of hockey would be interesting Another thing is allowing some of the faster guys to rest to help freshen them up for future games. Dallas is flexible but keeping them guessing would be good imo

Great analysis and fair comments. My thoughts: knob clearly a deserving coach/done a good job, is a rookie nhl coach going to win them a cup…that’s a stretch and fair to him. Edm just not built to play playoff hockey, you called it will mcdrai change their play style and play ugly, goes against their grain/season success. Reffing always lets toughness prevail in playoffs, again goes against how team is built/need pp success. Reminds me of leafs every year and canucks losing to Bruins, skilled teams just won’t get enough calls in playoffs. Skinner has kept them in the series, hopefully won’t regress. Series could go either way, will come down to better goaltending/finishing on chances in the end.

You don't have to apologize for getting frustrated. I'm assuming it wasn't so bad you tossed your computer and gear across the room so there's nothing to be sorry about. The goalie pull was a bonehead move.

disappointing. EDM dominated the 1st, but failed to finish... Skinner gave up a goal on a 25' shot, otherwise played well. Kane tons of chances, but failed to finish - usually a formula for failing.Watching mcLeod skate out of the way fo the 2nd shot so he wouldn't get hit - sums up his style - opposite of blocking & really a liability/can't win playoff hockey w this guy? Then Bouch doing the same on the Lindell shot in the 3rd.. Just 3 SOG in 3rd (5mins), the usual turnover immediately when pull goalie, getting a PP, then Kane immed following that up by taking a penalty - Had oppty, but didn't quite want to win it. But 5 games to go. GoOilers
