LOL! It says something when the only match that really showcases a crowd being "against" Federer is in France in front of a French crowd (without fail the most "hostile" tennis crowd) supporting a French player in a Davis Cup final match... which is MARKETED as being country vs country and you're expected to come out and support your countryman.

No chance this was hostile 😂 wasn't far off being 50/50 in crowd support. The French crowd know their tennis and knew from the get go Gasquet had little to no chance. Tsonga on the other hand would have been a greater threat had he been playing. He would have got the crowd going. Another thing to bare in mind in 2014 RF was considered the GOAT so many french fans were federer fans. I'm from the UK and I was cheering for Roger whenever he played the Olympics. When I think of matches where RF didn't have all of the love I think of 2012 v Murray for the Olympics Whenever Roger played Rafa in Spain 🇪🇸 2005 US Open final against Agassi (before federer had truly gained his fan base)

You posted this recap of a Davis Cup match, fine, but you comment at the beginning of the video shows that you neither practiced a sport with crowd around you nor been part of a public supporting a team. The title of this vid only aims to another "let's do the buzz" thing. The video itself has nothing to do with what you are saying. Normal public, atmosphere, you are watching a spectacle. The absolute irony 😂 of the other player in this very video having a much higher topspin rate than Federer did on the backhand. These things were measured. Gasquet had an average RPM topspin rate on the backhand that was over 25% more than Federer. And in general anyone who knows more than just about nothing about tennis knows that the Topspin rally backhand was the weakest part of Federer's game and what cost him the most losses in his career. He had a good slice backhand but the "bread and butter" topspin rally backhand was what broke down the most with inaccuracy, shanks and shots that allowed the opponent to take control of the rally.
