She had been dead for almost a full hour before they even checked on her!!! That "nurse" is a f**king POS, along with every one of those stupid guards that knew she needed serious help but didn't give a s**t because she's nothing more than "a criminal"........Every one of them played a HUGE part in her death and I hope they all get charged with it! A nurse is a nurse for a reason, because they want to help someone...regardless of who that person is or what they did! You don't turn a blind eye just cause there in prison! As someone who has been incarcerated before in Virginia Beach Correctional Center (VBCC)... Let me just tell you how NO ONE in the jail gives a shit about the inmates! I'm talking about the alleged "nursing staff", the alleged "doctors", the CO's or deputies (glorified baby sitters!), all the way up to the Warden! Not one of those people working in that jail gives a shit about an inmate!! When you have something wrong and need medical attention, you're told "drink more water!"... I had shingles while I was incarcerated at VBCC. I was put into segregation (a single cell with a steel door and a tiny slit to put your food tray through) I was not allowed to shower for 10 days!! I literally had to take a bird bath (washing my boobs, vagina, butt) in my cell using a wash cloth and the sink that's attached to the back of my toilet!! Not one medical "professional" came to check on me except to give me the antiviral medicine I had to take for 7 days. I was only supposed to be in seg for those 7 days!! It took me writing multiple "in house requests" a day just to get out finally!! While I was in there I was only allowed to use the phone twice! Thankfully one of the girls in my block knew how to get ahold of my mom and let her know what was going on. This was just my experience. I saw multiple girls in my block that had serious medical issues that were told to "drink more water". Btw the "water" they're speaking of if the sink water that comes.fro. the sink on the back of a toilet! That's the ONLY water you have! I was in a block with 22 beds... But there were ALWAYS at least 30 people in my block at all times due to "over crowding"! That's 30 people using TWO toilets all day everyday! With all 30 of us having to get water from the 2 "sinks" that's attached to the back of the 2 toilets in our block! How sanitary do you think that water really was? But that was the medical staff's solution for us when we had really any type of ailment. So sadly, I am NOT at all shocked nor surprised that this young woman died while in the custody of "medical professionals" inside a jail! It's sad! It's fucked up! And it's most definitely uncalled for! Things NEED TO CHANGE!! (Btw: I spent my 11 Months inside VBCC AWAITING trial!!! And so did a lot of the other girls I was locked up with! Therefore we were NOT PROVEN GUILTY OF ANY CRIME at the time of incarceration!! But damn if we weren't all treated like we were already guilty!!) SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE!!!
@susannope9703
25 күн бұрын
I feel like I need to add something to this... When I say that I saw other girls in my block suffer from "medical conditions"... There was this one girl who constantly had seizures was always taken out of the block, then brought in with the instructions of "drink more water!"... Another girl during New Year's Eve going from 2017 in to 2018 literally DIED in mine and a couple of the other girls in the blocks arms!! I literally saw the life leave her eyes!! (Idk if anyone reading this has experienced what I'm talking about) Her pupils were normal size the. As she "went down" (literally dropped to the floor) and "we" caught her, (we all saw her eyes wide open) we watched her pupils go from normal size, to nothing but black filled her eyes and we could definitely see that life had left her body!!! Luckily while the rest of the block was trying to get the guards attention, we were able to bring her back!! Then the guards make all of us leave the block and stand in the "visitation room" while they bring her out on a stretcher type jail chair. We are all allowed back into our block. About an hour later, the guards bring her back into the block and tell us to, and I quote "make sure she drinks more water."🤦🏼♀️🙄 No bullshit!! That's what I mean when I say that the "authorities in the jails" really give ZERO shits about the inmates they are responsible for!!! 😫

She shouldn't have been left alone. That's why her head hit the floor several times. She should have been taken to hospital with the first signs of eing disorientated, especially since any type of self inflicted narcotic or other substance would have worn out by then! Extremely negligent system

This woman hadn't even been convicted of anything, yet she was sentenced to death. Watching this video, a 4th grader would be able to see that she's in desperate need of help. But the medical staff didn't view her as a patient, they viewed her as a problem. The last thing that medical staff wanted to do was their actual JOB. Instead, they decided to not deal with this "problem" & let the next shift figure it out. The guards could've stepped in to help this woman, but they didn't want to do their job either. This woman's death was easily avoidable, but each & every jail employee turned their backs on this woman's cry for help & let her die on the jail's floor. I honestly don't know how those people can live with themselves after causing some1's death from their complete lack of humanity & empathy.

Why? Why did she have to suffer like this? Some need a soul adjustment and others need to evolve. This is vile, cruel and inhumane. Is this who we are? May you rest in peace, Elisa Serna and prayers for your family.

Let's talk about this so called "nurse" the way she seems as though she didn't want to touch her to check her pulse. The way she didn't even react when not feeling a pulse. It is disgusting, she should be ashamed of herself!! She should have quit her job a long time ago if she didn't like what she did anymore. Watching this video has literally destroyed me watching her suffer and how they acted careless about her and how sick she was. How in the world they kept in a room by her self as sick as she was. She could stand up or barely move. She took her last breath in that jail ceil because of their careless. That video broke my heart to pieces watching her pass like that. They had cold and cruel hearts.
