William Hart's voice in his prime was a instrument of pure beauty. Talk about smooth, the Delfonics are the poster boys of kool!! I"m so glad I got to see them perform back in the day and I wish someone would post them singing somebody loves you girl live-- back then!!!OH MY GOD!! talk about beautiful! RIP Randy Cain

Pure class. The definition of ' real music" not twenty plus people of the stage with the performer, not asking the crowd to sing, taking clothes off throwing in audience. Just pure, SANGING NOT SINGING. CLASSIC, HARMONIES AND STAGE PRESENTATION. I RARELY HEAR THE CLASSIC SONGS FROM BACK WHEN, MUSIC MAKE SENSE. THANKS PPL WHO POST.

Love this arrangement of the song.I fell in love with my husband over 18 years ago listening to The Delfonics ♡♡. I'll be seeing them with my teenage daughter's in two months. I grew up on this wonderful, beautiful and soulful music. My parents played The Delfonics, The Stylistics, O'JAYS, The Temprees, Blue Magic, Heatwave and I can go on an on. We love you Mr. William Hart☆♡♡. Thank you for all that you guys have gave to so many of us.

I keep watching this video over and over and over again. I love the understated way that the first singer opens up the song, his voice and his style of dancing (effortless, cool and casual) is pure brilliance. The Delfonics were one of the first groups to sing in the sleek, soulful style that became popularized (thanks to producer Thom Bell) as the "Philadelphia sound." A vocal trio made up of brothers William and Wilbert Hart and high school friend Randy Cain, the Delfonics roots go back to doo-wop singing at school dances.

I was born in the early 70s and am able to appreciate (very much) the music of the 20's and 30's (blues), 50's and 60's (rock and roll, etc). I think it just requires an open mind. What I can't quite get my brain around is how anyone appreciates some of today's more vapid music. There is still some good music being made-- just not as much (IMO).

I saw the Delfonics perform when I was 5 years old at a park in a small town in Pennsylvania. They were smooth and dancing to the groove singing La La Means I Love You. The Philly sound is classy stuff. The old soul music is hard to beat for musicianship, songwriting, arranging and just plain soulful performances.

OK . . . second post in three days: This is just an awesome, awesome performance. So much heart and soul. As these men sing, it sounds as if they may not make it out of the song alive. A truly devastating performance of an emotion-drenched Philly soul masterpiece. And this was a live show! All the more reason to praise its majesty. Too bad it cuts off during the break down.
