The five DeMarco Sisters, originally from Rome, N.Y., achieved fame as regulars on the Fred Allen radio show from 1946 to 1949, then went on to appear in nightclubs and on TV. Here they appear as women Naval officers in the Esther Williams musical "Skirts Ahoy," 1952. The lead singer is young Arlene DeMarco, who later (and unhappily) married a minor film actor and stage performer named Keefe Brasselle.
