By the middle of 1942, the Royal Navy was starting to use a navigation aid that was originally developed for the RAF. In RAF use it was called 'Gee', but for navy use it was 'QH'.
COPP used it during Nomandy D-Day operations to help fix their position. However, on the sea it was seemingly not always reliable.
