Part 2. He travels through snow, rain and deserts to reach his birth place. He is challenged by another warrior and overcomes him, as he is about to kill him he sees a birth mark on the neck of the downed warrior and recognizes his son. As he falls down crying and hugs his son, the blue sky strikes with a lighting bolt and turning them into stone statues to remain forever beside each other. (reference to stone man statues found in Mongolia)

I enjoyed this video. I am convinced that the Mongolian art, culture, and genealogy had great influence in the birth of the Tartars and many cultural aspects of the steppe countries, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgizstan, and even Afghanistan. I don't think it is a coincidence that many Afghanis and Tajiks have Khan in their last name.

According to this theory, the European Renaissance subsequent colonization and todays well developed Japanese economic success can be explained from the fact that both were spared from the Mongol invasion, one due to death of Ogedei at a particular point in time and the other due to divine wind (kami kaze). Mongols were defeated in a few places like Vietnam due to terrain and in Ain Jalut (near Palestine/Jordan) due to inadequate force strength against a Turkic steppe army of Mamluks.

Many part of the Yuan army in different parts of China later accepted Islam and were ancestors of a large percentage of Hui muslims. They decided to integrate with Han chinese and adopt their language and culture somewhat, to avoid persecution. Ming dynasty, some say were of hidden Hui ancestry. Hui were well protected and privileged during Yuan and Ming, but Manchu Qing persecuted and killed many of them. The Qing also decimated Oirat Jungars with British funding and Khalkha help(?).

Quick translation of the song: its told like a story. Part 1. Year 1112- Mongol tribes united...warriors fight for their Khan and the 9 white flags. A warrior is struck down by enemy spear and dies. The eternal blue sky, his land, beloved wife and son is the last thing that comes to his mind. A piece of cloth from his beloved wife is brought by the steppes wind and lands on his chest. At which point his heart starts to pound again and opens his eyes and raises the Mongol banner again.

I have one small theory, I call it "The theory of historical continuity". According to this theory any nation that is unmolested and left alone from outside force and influence will have greater internal coherence and will be able to adapt to changing circumstances more efficiently, face adversity more resolutely and innovate more to create internal and external dynamism for their economy and well being, as compared to nations that were subjugated and subjected to rearrangement of its structure

Nice pictures and music. So what I am trying to say to brother Mongols is that you have brothers in all over the world where the cavalry went and settled down, took up the religion of subjects and attended to their needs. Eventually they melted away in surrounding populations, perhaps gave rise to great families and personages, so Chingis Khan and his warriors spirit never died, they remain very much alive to this day, in many far corners of the planet, where the domain was expanded.

Mongols never referred to their Khan as Genghis, it was Chinggis I believe, maybe someone from Mongolia or Inner Mongolia can clarify this. Genghis was how Europeans spelled and pronounced it.

yes I know these europe nobles also had their inside problems like you said, actually, the problem of the distrust between nobles even were more serious than the Mongol, Mongol were luckier because they had only one overlord to unite everything, the Khan, unlike europe, the european had too many kingdoms and kings, each of them just think of their own benefit, the lands, the title, the power and so on. I think this is the first point why the europe lose the war.

As contrary to common ignorance.....not all conquered territories were wiped off the face of the map. For instance, the middle east experienced a period of renaissance soon after the Mongol conquest. But people only chat shit about how many were killed and cities destoryed. Same with the cities of Central Asia...they(people with lack of knowledge) say the whole cities were massacred but later accounts always mention of a flourishing towns and cities not many years after.

The legacy of Mongol invasion is enduring to the present day and it has very little to do with a few million Khalkha Mongols who are remnants of the Yuan army. All Mongol khans such as Jochid, Chaghataid and Il Khanid, except Yuan in China, eventually accepted Islam and it is in their hand Islam saw its greatest patronage and expansion. Timur, the founder of the Mongol Timurids even was on his way to invade Ming China with 200,000 cavalry, but he died on the way in Otrar, in todays Kazakhstan.

The devils horsemen is also the name the Turk ottomans endeared the NZ horse regiment with during the great war I believe one horse made it home.
Turks and Hungarians share them same ancestors, the Xiognu. Today, they are also called the Huns in the west. Atilla the Hun is honored by both Turkic peoples and Hungarians. The christinization of Hungary and the islamisation of Turkey led to people forgetting their ancient history. Some powers do not want these peoples to know that they are related, in the fear that they might grow to each other and establish a great power, just like we did for thousands of years. Respect.

The forces of Europe DID unite. The assembled forces was BUTCHERED! The Hungarians NOR the Polish defeated the Mongols. The Mongol Khan died and the Commanders decided to head home. The reason that they did not return was probably a bit because of that the Prince drank himself to death shortly after. The Mongols was better than the European soldiers in EVERY way!(no I'm not overdoing it)

Therei is couple minutes of battle from polish movie- "POTOP" (Deluge) . Its about polish-swedish war in XVII century and we , poles had in our army polish tatars - patriots who sheed their blood for Poland. They came to Poland in the end of XIV century. For their patriotim polish kings gave them lands

1. Mongols did fight with a scimitar/broad sword in close combat. But saying using bow n arrow is cowardly is like saying using guns today is cowardly. 2. Sparta were above average soldiers, but they certainly weren't the best. Spartans were defeated many times by the Sacred Band of Thebes, a collection of 300 homosexuals...and this was when the Spartans outnumbered the Thebans. Spartans were defeated when fighting against the phalangites, sacred shields, and elite infantry of other nations.
