@@melinademinova5417 But that is life. From what I understand about Paganinni in real life is he was a hot mess. He was an alcoholic, a womaniser and contracted syphilis, his health deterioated, the medication at that time was mercury which would drive you mad. He was paying for the wild youth and success he had had. For a woman living at that time you didn't have a lot of options. Your estate was your husbands as soon as you married, you weren't supposed to work, you weren't allowed to own property. You married for survival, if you loved the man you married, then you were lucky. What kind of future could he offer her? I would agree the music was probably a gift. He would never forget her and he made damn sure she'd never forget him everytime she sang it. At the ending when he is wheelchair bound and probably hallucinating from the effects of mercury and he sees the black shape on the lawn it could be the devil or death stalking him, but the shape could just as easy be a woman in a black cloak and bonnet. She is dressed in black as she sings. It's up to you to decide which of his demons is haunting him.

David Garrett is a laughably appalling ‘actor’. It says something about his lack of artistic discernment that he carried on in this movie, knowing everybody was laughing at him. I have it on good authority that cast and crew despised him. His behaviour was appalling.

@@candyhearts7646 Yes, you’re right, I agree. He seems jealous of everybody who is better than him. In the case of this movie, that was everybody. It’s probably one of the worst ‘performances’ I’ve ever seen. Even Helmut Berger is better than him in this. Garrett was appallingly unprofessional too. Paganini he ain’t.
@hilaryc3203

You have it on good authority? Tut tut, never say that unless you have the balls to state who. As it happens, no one has ever accused him of bad behaviour in any performance, movie or musical and not one person has ever said anything against him about what you state. He has never claimed to be an actor, but he put his all into the musical performance. What he is very protective of and guards around people, is his million dollar violin. He is not keen on other people handling it at all. He himself has stated he is not the best violinist which is why he started to perform cross over music. He's always been up front and honest about his abilities. Sounds like a lot of sour grapes born out of jealousy; ugly people who get petty behind other people's back because they aren't as successful in life.

@@henrigaziel2002 Fan girl? LMAO. Are you 12? I just like his music. I don't fawn over him like a love sick puppy because I'm an adult and don't buy into celebrityism . I did come across this girlfriend issue; he was naive to date someone like that and he made a public statement that he never did anything to her, that it was a money grab. That is neither here nor there, as humans do tend to get themselves entangled in difficulties and unless you were in the room, why vacuously spread gossip? I merely responded to you because you are carrying tales with nothing to back it up. For all we know you're some guy sitting in his mother's basement making shit up. LOL. Do you have any idea how many classically trained artists have demanding personalities? Good grief; Luciano Pavarotti was a dick on a good day. Classically trained musicians aren't working day jobs, they train from childhood, every day of their lives, and they are raised to have exacting standards and push themselves and they wind up having the same expectations for anyone else. It can be a bit trying on their stress load. The very fact you responded calling me names, says much about you. Grow up boy.
