Welcome to the Devol's Glen. Situated on the fringes of West end of Port Glasgow, the Glen separates the oldest housing estate in the town (Chapelton) with Alderwood and Glenpark.
This is a short film about the Devol Glen and its 'burn' that runs down from the Knocknairshill Reservoir at the top of the hill. The Glen was my playground back in the 1970 and 1980s as a teenager and many summers were spent exploring the Glen, swimming in the clear fresh water pools and larking around in the various waterfalls the length of the Glen. It was a place of rope swings, rainbow trout and some mysterious things.
As always comments are very welcome and if anyone watching has any further information about the Glen, I'd love to hear from them as I plan to follow this film up with some ground footage, photos and commentary.
Thank you for watching, it is always appreciated and a subscription to my channel would be awesome.
