@@seriousorganizerWhat she was saying is Alzheimer's is a recognized disease state that can be tested for and concretely diagnosed. "Dementia" is an umbrella term that has some common but also varied behavioural and memory symptoms but the specific cause is harder to nail down (confusion, loss of memory, personality changes etc). There are multiple possible causes of Dementia. Alzheimer's is a form of Dementia. But not all Dementia is Alzheimer's. That's my understanding of it anyway.

Oh now I understand. Those are meant to be brief almost like an attention getter and some platforms require they be less than 60 seconds. What you need to do is go to my podcast on KZitem or my website www.teresayoungstrom.com and find podcast episode 12 for more information. Hope that helps. 😊

Dementia is from the organic source. Where ALZ really is the only one they can actually see on scans as shrinkage or possible blood flow. Dementia as I know in my opinion cannot be seen very prevalent in early onset, but older individuals will usually show symptoms , but not like younger individuals which is more pronounced in my opinion

Thank you for your comment. Check out podcast 12 on KZitem “Memory Care with Teresa Youngstrom” for more details on dementia. We are definitely still figuring out these brain diseases. My goal is to give great care once we see decline. ♥️
