where is the surface setting? does it have a condition to show up?

These type of videos are really useful! A slight nitpick: adaptive subdivision works with distance to the actual camera, so if you have the camera far away and move close with a viewport render (while keeping the camera object far), the model will have a low subdivision level

@@rileyb3d you mean the dicing scale? It does, the number you control is the amount of pixels a polygon has to cover to be subdivided, that's why it's kinda backwards (a bigger number means lower resolution). But those pixels are counted from the camera's perspective, not the "viewport camera"

@@rileyb3d Just checked, the subdivision it uses is based on where you start the render, not the camera distance like I said before. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case in earlier versions

@@Lucas72928 It was, you always had to double tab. Perhaps you chose to select a Dicing Camera?
