I’m very new to plants in aquariums so this vid was well timed for me personally. I won’t lie and say I fully understand it but I have a better idea then I did 10 minutes ago.

I really appreciated this video. Thank you for putting this info out. I have been keeping aquariums for over 30 years, but I got out of the planted tank part of the hobby about 10 years ago. At that time there were no lab grown/culture plants. I have a 55G super high tech tank setup, and I had a lot of melting. I’d never had a plant melt, but it was due to what you describe. Thank you for the education and very useful info. This exact kind of video is what people need imo, a ton of info and experience on these types of newer plant growing techniques. When I first started planted tanks in around 2001, lights were super expensive. Plants… choose from 15 types. Soils, gravels, ferts, CO2 systems didn’t exist really. Thanks for the info bud, well done.

Is there a best way of planting foreground plants as the are so short they have a tendency to float, especially with a bit of help from your corydoras etc. Great informative videos Blake Thank you for your content 👍

Hey Paul, best way is to break them up into smaller portions and plant as deeply as you can whilst leaving some leaves above the soil to photosynthesise. Maybe you need deeper substrate? All the best

What if you plant is grown submerged but has a portion sticking out above the water line (I've seen this with bacopa). Will the portion above the water act like an emersed plant if clipped and transplanted? No idea why but that question sprang to mind while watching.

If we give the plant a Hydrogen Peroxide bath, is it right that all those pests risks will be removed?
