I just got mine today! It's sexy as heck. I'm looking for slings now specifically Sly Tactical or Ferro Concepts. The M4A1 needs a Rail QD Swivel for the front of the barrel if you wanna run two point.

Note how there was no mention of the three-point sling. Good on ya DD.

I've always used a two point sling and it works for me. And it secures the weapon well. I use the one that came with my weapons. The other slings may work better for certain applications. But the two point slings have worked for me in Vietnam and as a street cop and asna federal law enforcement officer. Basically as was stated it's a hoster for your long gun. And I run two point slings on my shotguns as well as on my ar15 and my ar9 carbines. But as stated. It works well for me.

I inherited my best friend's DD M4 Carbine with the old Magpul MOE stock. I'd like to attach a Magpul MS4 to the rifle. Will it plug directly into the existing socket in the end plate at the rear of the receiver? At which point I would need only to get an attachment point on the rail at the front?

Since both products are made by magpul the answer is no. You must buy an adapter made by tasco. Cost is about $40

@@zebfox011 The Magpul stock itself does not have an attachment point; I'd be hoping to use the one provided with the rifle along with a Magpul RSA QD mounted on the rail. What Tasco product are you referring to? A Google search didn't turn anything up. Apologies, I'm a novice.

@@SaftonYT my original comment was pure sarcasm but as it seems you genuinely don't know I guess I'll be nice and answer your question. The qd mount will work because magpul makes what is necessary for all of their products to work together. You will have no issues with the sling and stock working and if you really need help just contact magpul directly and they will be happy to take care of your needs.

@@zebfox011 I think I may have misled you. Let me clarify: I have an "early run" Daniel Defense M4 which has a Magpul MOE stock. The stock has no provisions for mounting a sling. I purely listed it to distinguish it from newer DDM4s. I plan on getting a Magpul MS4 and RSA QD sling attachment point. I have no doubt those will work together ;) However, what I *am* wondering is if the Magpul MS4 will attach to the socket in the rear receiver end plate of the DDM4, which is *not* Magpul branded but supposedly intended for QD swivel attachment points. In other words, are QD attachments "universal" between manufacturers in this regard?

@@SaftonYT you said it has an existing qd hole so yes it will work

Go to the Philippines, where 3 point slings are still a "thing".
