turns out that this dilophosaurus that attacked mr nerdy is not a adult but actually a juvenile!

That doesn't seem like much of a difference but idk man🤷😭

Juveniles are probably about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of their fully grown counterparts. Adolescents would see them nearing the size of the fully grown adults. So while, yes, it was a juvenile, the adult hasn't been shown on film.

Did I miss something? When did they confirm that and why didn’t they make the dilophosaurus in Jurassic World Dominion an adult?

My favorite dinosaur. It still bugs the hell out of me that the movie shrunk her down. Even Michael Crichton gave her the correct size and paid respect to just how terrifying she would have been in the Early Jurassic. The way Nedry died in the novel was pure High Octane Nightmare Fuel.

Steven Spielberg didn’t want the Dilophosaurus to steal the raptor’s thunder so his design team shrunk it down to juvenile size and gave it a distinct neck frill to further distinguish it. They also did it so the comedic acting skills of Wayne Knight could shine more which could have been impossible against a larger dinosaur. A shame, really, since the full-sized animal from the novel could also fit into the movie universe perfectly fine if it were utilized properly.

As old fan of Jurassic Park The Reality One is different and dangerous animal for the size and The mutated one of the movie is exaggerated but I love it I don't have any negative thoughts on the Designs of the Dinosaurs in the franchise of Jurassic Park yet.

Unlike what we see in JP/JW movies, these were big enough to ride, as suggested by the artworks at DeviantArt, such as Palaeo Caravan by BlueCea, and Dinosaur Rider by NathanRosario.

intelligence and adaptability may make dinos even more formidable predators, capable of taking down prey super quick

You're correct. The unfortunate thing is that it's difficult to get accurate information in both of those categories.

The definition of monster is an imaginary creature that is typically large, ugly, and frightening. The Dilophosaurus has two of those features, large and frightening.

I normally would agree with you however I would disagree on one thing. A real life tyrannosaurus would be the most terrifying monster to ever set eyes upon on.

That's a theory, but it's generally accepted that they lived in the Early Jurassic.
