The inclusion of this piece at the end was no doubt Yasuhiro Takemoto's doing. He was an outspoken lover of classical compositions. Earlier this year, my amateur film studio released this film (kzitem.info/news/bejne/sKirvnWXsoafkoo) as a tribute to Kyoto Animation, and The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is at the centerpiece of it due to the formative effect it had on my life. I hope that as a fan of the studio and of this movie that you might enjoy it and that it might bring you a bit of solace.

Poor Yuki :( I feel bad. She clearly did what she did in "Disappearance" not only because she was fed up of Haruhi's eccentric behavior (especially during Endless Eight), but she wanted to live a normal life with only Kyon by her side. Yet despite her wish coming to fruition, right down to Kyon getting closer to her, she STILL gave him the option to reverse her actions because she trusts him to make the right choice, even if it means sacrificing any happiness she could experience as a normal girl.

It's kind of unknown. She doesn't seem to retain the huge shy emotions she had from the other world, but after the credits there is a scene in which she is in a library and she seems to smile at two kids, and she covers her smile with a book. So in a way, one could take it she's beginning to portray emotion, while in another way, one could just interpret it as a rare kinda thing. It all depends on what you want to believe.
@Birdhouse2000

Hi there. You may probably never read this but I just saw this movie for the first time and I think you missed something at the end. Yuki wasnt just smiling at those kids. She saw that these two made themselves a library card at the table. Something she was to shy to do herself and could only do with the help of kyon. The ending leaves this open...but maybe this time, she will be able to make this tiny, little library card for herself. Without any help. And who knows, what else she will be able to do...again by herself. And even more important, FOR herself.

I know this is a classical piece of music, but every time I hear it, it takes me back to this movie. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time and one I constantly return to every Christmas. It’s funny since as far as I know, this was the last anime related thing for Haruhi and in a way was the ultimate conclusion to the series. I do still hope this series gets a third season at some point, as much as that is basically a pipe dream at this point, but I think I can live with this being the ultimate ending for the anime for now.

is it me or did this song get popular after it was used in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie? because after it was release, I kept hearing it more and more; on some KZitem videos (usualy the humor/game related ones) and Low budget commercials on obscure tv channels. Also, it was in the movie were I first heard this song; I thought it was written by their same composers as the anime (Season 1+2) since it fits the anime(anime/japanese themed shows or movies in general ) and the soundtrack from the 2 seasons perfectly, But surprised to discover that it was written back in 1888 by a French composer...WOW~!

Let me tell you about my day. I got this game call "Remember Me", the plan was to spent all day paying it I have been putting it off long enough. While I was doing a mission not even closes to the ending I think an hour went by playing the game, I pass a room. A piano was there playing a certain soundtrack like it was possess. I knew it immediately but I was in disbelief I could not understand why this song was playing here. What the connection between Remember Me and the anime Haruhi Suzumiya? After about two min in listening to it in the game I got up went to my computer and came here to listen to the full track. After that I got in the mood to watch the movie "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya", after I watch that I just had to watch the anime again skipping of course the annoying "Endless Eight" episode. When all was done I came back here, look at the time and it is 3 am. I was suppose to be playing a game yet I spent the whole day re watching an anime...again! The reason why I tell you this is because...HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?
