I've been on a quest to find the "Polisher stone", a special stone that was used possibly by Neolithic farmers to form and sharpen their stone tools.
An early start was required to catch the morning light.
I also visited the Dolmen at Clatford bottom known as "The Devils den"
I didn't find any devil but I did take a couple of nice photos using my Nikon D7500 dslr. I had to bracket expose due to the high dynamic range.
Fyfield down is well known for it's neolithic activity and the valley of stones.
The stones are also called Greywethers which I believe is an old name for sheep.
They were deposited on the valley floor during the end of the last ice age
