This video is severely underappreciated. Maybe try to play the algorithm a bit more? Insert key words into your descriptions, make more eye catching titles and thumbnails? Either way, keep up the good work. Your content is on par with other really big and popular channels and this kind of philosophy is good for people to watch.

I think you chose to simplify on purpose, but I'd like to add nuance concerning this graph, which is often misinterpreted. The actual graph from the studies is a little different, as it doesn't imply that people with low competencies believe in having the same competencies as experts, they are aware of not being experts, even if they do overevaluate their competencies. And experts under-evaluate theirs. The authors didn't show a decrease in self-assessment of competencies, but a linear increasing curve. The original graph can be seen on the Wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning-Kruger_effect

Yes, you’re absolutely right! I wasn’t sure whether to post this video but I went ahead because I feel it’s a useful, if simplified, ‘model’. It reminds me a lot of the Four Stages of Competence model and how we’re initially unaware (unconscious) of how little we know, which for me, is the most important point. Thanks for watching and commenting, I always appreciate feedback and discussion! 🙂

Thanks! Unfortunately it’s too long for Shorts and reformatting is quite time consuming.
