Manners and Respect. Firstly, I RARELY comment under videos, but this was phenomenal!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this history with us... my heart was so happy. I am a first-generation Jamaican Canadian born to 2 Jamaican parents. My origin history is VERY IMPORTANT to me. My mother shared MANY stories with myself and my siblings growing up. Back then, when her father, my Grandfather walked the streets, there were no lights, it was pitch dark...couldn't even see your hand in front of you. My maternal grandfather and his parents, my great grand parents were natural born Maroons, originating from Accompong. I am very proud to know this, I know and can feel the energy and strength that runs through me. I am on a journey to find out more about my grandfather and great grandparents, I never got the chance to meet them in the physical, but they are always with me in spirit. For some reason, they want me to find out who they were! I will never stop until I do. You have a new subscriber, I hope to see many more historical related videos. Love you Grandpa! 🗣✊🏽❤️🙋🏽♀️ #MaroonDescendant 📯

Love, Honor and Respect to the Maroon always have lots of respect for them because they always kept the ancestors spirit a live. Honestly, really think most of the stories are true because most of the slaves ran away to the mountains in Jamaica. In fact, most of the Maroons alway meet at the Cotton Tree which is the oldest tree in Jamaica. They gave praises to the spirits of the ancestors who fought the British for 100 years and won. The British signed a Treaty with the Maroons in 1738 so they can keep their land call Corkpit Country where they have total freedom without interference from the Slave Masters. Yes, slavery is the worst thing that happen to Human Beings because you are treated worst than animals because they can speak and defend themselves.
