You can use cranberry juice or just beef stock instead of wine. Yes, you can cook it on the stove, just turn it to the lowest you can and stir with a wooden spoon occasionally

I made a batch today in my brand new dutch oven. It was absolutely delicious!! Added mushrooms to my ingredients. My only issue is the sticking @ the bottom of the dutch oven.🙁 The stirring helped some but...Any tips??

That`s why I prefer cooking in the oven, it cooks more evenly and never burns the bottom. If you cook on the stove, maybe use less flour and turn the heat really low. Is it enameled?

I would Never add water or beef cubes to a stew. Water has absolutely no flavor and adds nothing to the dish. Always use good beef broth or stock instead.

This recipe looks absolutely awesome but i didnt like the inclusion of beef stock cubes. I mean come on, there's gotta be a better alternative than that. It was going so well with everything from ground up and then all of a sudden, stock cubes. Just doesn't fit the theme man. The video is very artistic and well presented overall but I just can't get over that one part.

Is that a raw or enameled Dutch oven? Can’t tell if it’s like Staub or Raw CI I ask cause you used acidic ingredients (a lot) from wine to tomato paste. Doesn’t that eat at raw seasoned cast iron, and transfer the iron flavor into the food?
