Good stuff JT. I'm surprised you don't run a dropper on the fat bike and SS. The Ti bike looks sick, I run Ti on my single speed and love it. How much did the Spectral set you back?

Thanks Sage! I run a dropper on my other fat bike that also has a suspension fork. More of my “fun” fatty. My SS has a 27.2 seatpost and I’m not a huge fan of the smaller diameter droppers otherwise I would def have one on the SS. The Ti experience is such a cool thing. Someday I wanna build a Ti SS MTB. The spectral was mid to high 3’s, maybe 3700 before all the upgrading. It’s hard to say what I have into it now because it’s become a mix of new and used parts. If I had to guess I’m prolly 5500 into it as it sits now. I would have purchased a higher end model right off the bat but this was the only model available in my size at that time.

Black tires on that candy apple red bike would have been super slick. Still a great whip.

Thanks Mike! This was kind of an experiment to see if there is any interest in these longer “compilations” style vids.

Are both your fatties from DIY ?? I e-mailed DiY and did get the specs of the one in your video….and as far i can tell the frame from DIY are not the same as the 2023 beargrease…perhaps there have been a update ?? You run barbegazi 27.5x4.5 with enough space ?? Thanks again for the video and info….happy trails….

When I compare my DIY beargrease style frame to an actual salsa beargrease I can tell they are very close but not an exact copy. I’ve had a 27.5 x 4.5 on the front with clearance but I don’t remember about the rear. I can check for ya. My other fatty is a copy of a fyxation Blackhawk. That bike is 7 years old and has been flawless, lots of miles on that one.

big thanks if you could check rear spacing with the 27.5x4x5 barbegazi....what size did you go for im 189 cm with flat shoes....and is the bb threated ? sorry for all the questions but somehow the frame is not on the diy website.....ty sent me geometry specs ....headtube angle is 69.5 and it seems like its only available in 2 sizes.....@@TheDustyDutchman
