You are so right about creativity! I too love trees, always have. I sketched trees, cups, and balls constantly for years. Now, at nearly eighty, I still love looking at and sketching trees. On my morning walks with my dog, my head is always tilted up to look at them. Lovely topic and advice!

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I used to always sketch trees and I never thought about it this way. I'm going to sketch more trees! Thank you.

I so appreciate this video. It's helped me understand how to break down shapes as well as how direction of light source applies to where highlights, midtones, and darkest values should be represented. Thank you!

Er, your mom was “creatively inclined” 😉, not obsessed. My father is really really “into” photography and my mother “likes” to paint, dance, sing, and mold wet clay. Like you, I too have a “thing” for trees. 😁 I must put them in my sketches. Thank you for the tips on drawing trees. Too many ignore their beauty because they look tedious to sketch in. This was awesome!

I love trees as well. Before I got into watercolors, my eye was always drawn to trees, the bark texture, the overall shape and shading. This is what I need to do - start sketching.

Hi Jenna! All my life I've wanted to be artistic but didn't think I had the talent until recently when I realized that it doesn't matter. Just like any other talent, artistic talent can be built up! I'm very happy I found you while looking for good online classes. In the space of a couple weeks I've made things I'm proud of and just now made the best looking tree of my life. 🫂 Girl, thank you!

Hi, I've observed that, your hands are white, compared to your arms. No explaination required, just an observation. Curious though!

@@lilybay1 If your asking me, yeah as a teacher, we are discussing art. I was not being disrespectful, nor impersonal. It was just a casual observation.
