I realize you might want to get straight to the review. Use the chapter markers and go to 05:46 For a while now I have started to do these vlogstyle videos that are getting much longer, plus sometimes I give some room for items that would not be great in a standalone video. That is why these videos have gotten longer and not as straight to the point as in the past. I acknowledge that some viewers might not like this style, but for a while I have been looking for a way to make the creation of these videos more interesting to me. And I found that this "off the cuff" non scripted style is much more fun for me to create. That makes the videos less focused but hopefully also enjoyable to watch even if you might not be interested in the main item itself (ie. You watch my videos for entertainment even if the item doesn't interest you). Still I encourage anyone who wants to get straight to the review to use the chapter markers. I hope this style and the reason of making a review is understandable. Thanks for watching my videos

Great review.. I had a Steinhart back in the day and I sold it. I would order another but I hate the import taxes.

Thanks, mate. Yeah, Import taxes can be very annoying

There is another zippered pocket that you missed within the front pocket. I can even see the zipper pull hanging down during your b roll.

Thanks for letting me know. But I thought I mentioned that it also longish and therefore stuff just slides down and accumulates at the bottom. If I missed that, sorry about that. I was hoping more for compartments that are allinged in a way that the whole vertical space was utilized. Thanks for watching

Hi Bo why not deactivating all notifications going to the watch? with the Samsung watches you can deactivate all notifications and use it as a normal watch plus silent alarm clock and if you want a sportsband

Thanks for the suggestion. I know that it is possible, but even without the notification, I tend to look at it. And mechanical watches are just really nice

I agree on the concerns on the front pocket. The original Max is better on that front. Also the laptop area missing a spot for a tablet/iPad is a missed opportunity. I think I will stick with my “Max”, even if it does appear a bit on the large side for EDC.

Thanks for watching. Out of curiosity, because I post that question in a different video: do you carry a laptop and a tablet on an edc basis? On a carry on bag I kinda see the point to carry both, but on a daily basis I always wondered if that second slot is actually that needed.

@@YouknowtheboIt depends what my activities for the day are. I can say, if I bring a laptop, I will have a tablet/iPad with me as well. For the times when I bring just an iPad, I am more likely to opt for a smaller EDC bag.

Right before you said 24L, I was thinking this should have been a 24L bag. It feels just slightly too big.

Oh no. Did I say it was 24L? It's actually a 26L bag. Thanks for watching, William

@@Youknowthebo Apologies for the confusion! I meant near the end when you were comparing this bag's 26L to the bigger 30L. I am saying this bag probably should have been 24L to better differentiate from the 30L.

@William.N ah ok. No problem. I agree with you : 24L would have been better 👍

Thanks for watching and your comment. I understand that that you want to get straight to the point and watch the review. But for a while I kinda had the urge to structure my videos differently and make them a bit more vlogstyle plus giving items a space that would get lost in a single video. But I acknowledge that you just want to see the review, which is why I always put chapters in all videos. So please feel free to use the chapter markers. Again I totally understand your comment and I somewhat agree. But I have put so much work in all of my videos that I needed to find a way to make the creation of these videos enjoyable to me as well. And this is the way I found how making reviews has become fun again. Hope that makes sense

Nice review. I'd also share your concerns about the lack of slots for vertical separation. Also I'm not a huge fan of XPAC and I think this only comes in XPAC? A regular cordura version would be nice. And yeah it seems large for 26l - I think the CTB26 is slightly shorter, and certainly the GR2 26l is shorter - which is my go-to "higher capacity" bag. But it looks great and I think AC kills it when it comes to comfort.

If you had to choose between this, the regular max, the BE Forge Max and a CTB26 for short work travel that can also serve as one bag travel for a 3-5 day trip?

A good question that I honestly currently try to answer for myself and my future trip to Thailand. I probably will make a video about choosing a bag.

Vertical front pockets just do not make sense, usually staying mostly empty due to bad pocket design
@Youknowthebo
3 сағат бұрын
True. Which is why I "need" some pockets to utilize the whole vertical space. For example the black ember Forge has a bunch of slots that help to spread out all of the items in a vertical space and not everything accumulates at the bottom
@WabbitCrouton

I look for them. because I stash the front pocket with a vertical opening with quick grab items like tissues, sunglasses and case and bike/headlight. But if they become too big, like this one, it may be considered a waste of space or need an inner pocket/organizer.

Yeah it's just soooooooo difficult to fast forward on youtube, you have to hold down the button, am I right? And then hit play and see if you've gone too far, and then if you have you have to hold the reverse button.....wait, am I talking about a cassette tape? Yeah, so anyway my point is what crawled up your ass and died?
