The Electrician: A 1978 song by The Walker Brothers (written by Scott Walker) for their album, Night Flights. It's a song of great innovation, melody and message. Allegedly about a CIA torturer-for-hire...
Building on that theme ('torture') and improvising the odd line, this film "The Electrician", features a cover version of the Walker record, with a unique soundscape. It tells the story of First Nations peoples and the impacts of [admittedly] the development upon which we've all become accustom. Namely, how it and the conveniences of the modern world change the way we traverse and negotiate our way through Country and how-through that and the harm to Country-it pains our spirits and those of our Old Peoples.
