Thank you Kevin and Angelo, In my case I had the kundalini experience (perhaps it was a nervous breakdown 😂) on that same day I witnessed the indescribable, I felt a sense of loneliness and I started to grief, I almost immediately went on full denial, later anger, later shadow work and more shadow work, lots of crying, rage 😤 fast forward to now, well now I am just trying to enjoy the now. what will be, will be

Hi, I just broke the last fetter. For me, I wanted life to be reliable and have 100% security guaranteed all the time. 😂 No wonder I am passionate about cybersecurity. I find it humorous that Kevin is an engineer who wanted everything to be predictable and reliable. That would be an engineer’s dream! Thank you for the series. I got through it and the fetters quickly, but I had about 25 years of therapy as a prerequisite, so that sped things up immensely. But I am so relaxed now, and my cravings for caffeine have gone down immensely during this process. Thank you both again.

amazing, thank you for all the videos from this series and for the channel in general! I find it very helpful and precise. Its funny that what was interesting to me from the start of spiritual journey was the impermanence and then when it was realized it dropped this belief from life, and then later i came across the katie byron's the work, which seems to me has the same mechanics being and then questioning beliefs. Again thank you for the series :)

Thank you both and bless you both so much. This series was really helpful. I think I'd say the 9th and 10th fetters have been more like shackles for me, and take a lot of work. Also, wanted to note if anyone is interested in linking this to western thinkers, the 10th fetter to me sounds a lot like the 'object small a' of Jacques Lacan, the French psychoanalyst. Prayers for everyone's liberation.

Loved the series. Kevin has a real tenderness to his words and body language. I think these last two fetters are important points to discuss on the path. A lot of people think once anatta is realized that these last two fetters just naturally drop away - which is the usual sales pitch - that hasn’t been my experience and it seems useful to normalize why this is the case for people doing this work. Thanks Angelo and Kevin, Good luck out there everyone!

I definetely prefer Angelo s playlists and pointings to Truth,sometimes presented in a humouros manner. I guess this series is extremely accurate and valuable,yet it has a flavour of seriousness,severe suffering almost like its a curse for "one😂" to wake up,not a blessing. I might be wrong ,yet the eastern traditions tendency of emphasising that "life is suffering" and repeteadely dissmising the body&mind experiences sounds unnecesarily dramatic especially in our days. Might be wrong of course,just a humble opinion.

I really appreciate this series on the fetters. It makes them much clearer and more intuitive than the Theravada/Suttavada approach did. In the absence of the "I am/I exist" conceit after the 8th fetter falls, does the sense of making choices or of a "doer" still persist? It seems that it doesn't and that everything just seems to be happening. Maybe it's difficult to talk about these subtle shifts precisely with the conventional language available. Thanks again 🧡

"You become more effective at noticing circumstances that can change and work towards that change". This statement epitomizes my confusion with being told that life is just happening and there is not only no self but only emptiness. What or whom is noticing and creating change? My understanding has been there is no free will. Isn't noticing and working towards a desired change needing a doer? Feel I take 2 steps forward then hearing this 3 steps back. Is this just another case of how words can not explain this. Thanks.❤

well that's the strange and obvious thing isn't it? when there is realization that there is no doer this won't be a proble, but when there is a sense of being a doer, that teaching will make no sense. So I say do not adopt a belief about non-doership, it's simply not helpful and just binds up the mind or ads to doubt and hesitation :)

(2) If they say to you: ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fishes will precede you. (3) Rather, the kingdom is inside of you and outside of you.” (4) “When you come to know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will realize that you are the children of the living Father. The 9th and 10th fetters sound a lot equanimity. Once we see that the self is impermanent and the world is as changing as water is, anything that arises are just movements, emotions are just movements, self is just a movement, life and death are just movements. There is no more doing because how can anyone change this moment . So what’s the difference between equanimity and these fetters?

I don't get it: how can you be not happy with what is, if there is no "i" sense and you are just pure Consciousness?
@SimplyAlwaysAwake
Жыл бұрын
Well at that point you are not pure consciousness you are simply not. With the self structure or illusion of identity out of the way and resistance pattern with associated beliefs will have literally nowhere to hide. It's quite intense but the nowhere to hide aspect is the perfect medicine actually.
@nbenda
Жыл бұрын
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake I see, yes, I meant you are not (pure Consciousness is the term for "it" in Advaita Vedanta, but feels the same). Just, for me, already the knowledge that I am not is a full acceptance of what ever arises, so I did not really get that. I must say that I looked all the series, and somehow for me it feels the other way round, that is, once there is an understanding, the whole concepts and beliefs fall one by one and the "work" (for example 4/5) just happens sort of automatically. Here the approach seems the other way round, I work with changing my experiences to get the full understanding. Right? The other question I have is: the "I" sense does not really disappear, just the ignorance about it. Because, we must function.
@SimplyAlwaysAwake
Жыл бұрын
@@nbenda well part of this is that it is quite deep stage realization we’re talking about with 8th fetter. I know very few people who ok confidant have actually realized it. And to be clear the I sense actually does disappear. Nisargadatta described it like this “if you regress properly the I Am sense will disappear.” Turns out you actually function just fine without it. But you have no filters anymore :)
@nbenda

@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Do you mean just like in a flow state where there is no "I" sense, but we function fine? only all the time? ok, I will inquire into that. Now I abide as the Witness, I am very in peace, bliss, happy, but there is a sort of "I" sense.

A point of curiosity on the topic of the end of suffering, isn't pain a form of suffering? I saw a video of David Hawkins recently talking about how he went through major surgery with no anasthetic several times without feeling pain, because he could surrender deeply - so let go of resistance fully each moment. So I understood the end of suffering to be the end of all suffering no exception. Thoughts welcome :)
