I really like the "retraction" turn when things go to shit. Don't press down to initiate a turn, retract the landing gear and pivot. Works in ice too! Thanks for the vids!

How did you get so much mountaineering experience at such a young age? Slowly transitioning into this hobby and I’m trying to figure out how I can gradually work my way into it without getting in over my head. Doing lots of reading and getting “mentored”, but I’m afraid it’s not enough.

Your ski videos inspired me to ski most of the double blacks at Sugarloaf last Sunday. Thank you for sharing these tips.

Would be sick if you made a series of videos like this and turned it into a KZitem playlist. A video about your full backcountry gear setup for the gnarly stuff you ski would be pretty helpful. I'm thinking of getting a touring ski for next season and getting into some backcountry, I wouldn't be able to do much until around three more years though.

Awesome video, I know exactly what you're talking about but had never really put it to words or anything.

Good point, thanks for the tip. I picture it like the “wiggle” slalom racers do through the last few gates before the finish line 😊. Or summoning your inner Legolas.

I love this. I always tell people don’t have old man legs. Don’t stomp, instead ski light.

I actually think you did a decent job of describing it. as for showing it on snow I am stumped as well, I do not think it will show though so easily.

Remember that a lot of theses videos you watch are of guys who don’t buy their own skis.
