Hibakujumoku
There is approximately 170 trees scattered throughout the city that survived the August 6 1945 atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This is the Eucalyptus Tree, Eucalyptus melliodora, thought to be about 80 years old. The Eucalyptus is considered the closest tree to have recovered without growing back from root buds. It is located 740 meters from the hypocenter.

市内には、1945 年 8 月 6 日に広島に投下された原子爆弾で生き残った約 170 本の木が点在しています。こちらは樹齢約80年と思われるユーカリの木。ユーカリは、根の芽から再び成長することなく回復した木として最も近いと考えられています。爆心地から740メートルの位置にある。
