I saw it last year once they traded for Sabonis. Casuals and national media said kings lost that trade and I said that's a rare trade that was win win for both teams. I saw Sabonis and Fox as similar to Jokic and Jamal. I had kings in playoffs before last season, I also had them losing In first Rd in playoffs because it was warriors and kings first time in playoffs

Well, I wouldn't say Kings are going deep. Every other team in the west got better via drafts and trades. Rockets will finish better than the Kings it sure appears. Spurs might need another ping pong ball though, so tank repeat. Can barely see Wemby when he turns sideways. Good thing TexMex is full of protein and lard!!! But at 19 and skinny as paper, Spurs gonna be at the bottom rung in the West, collecting ping pong balls. Kings better try harder to get #1 worst since they can't beat Lakers, Suns, Nuggets, Warriors, Clippers and Rockets. Pelicans are the litmus. If Pelicans beat Kings early on, Kings need the ping pong ball plan.

As a Bulgarian I am very hyped to watch Vezenkov in the NBA but let us not go crazy. He won't "take over the NBA". He is a great shooter and floor spacer but is very lackluster defensively and he joins a team where the defence is the biggest concern. I reckon he will be a great third option and will ocassionally go for a 25 points but not more. I really hope I am wrong and Sasha kills it in the NBA but let's not bury him under unreasonable expectations.

Great vd about Sasha! 4 friendly corrections: 1- Olympiacos won the last Euroleague title in 2013 (not 2011) 2-Sasha went for 1st time to Euroleague f4 with Oly in 2022 , 5 years after the club's last time (2017) and not after 10 years. 3-The logo you put in 8:38, is not Pana's, is from a countryside soccer team :) 4-The footage in 8:42 is actually for a forfeited match in oly's field in 2018 (the vice-versa of what happened in current finals)

Firstly, great video- really really nice work. Secondly, Olympiacos last won EL in 2013 not 2011. Re the final against Madrid, Olympiacos always give the last shot to Sloukas- it was the correct decision, he has numerous buzzer beaters and game winners and he is their leader (he has actually also now left the club). He also missed a 3 to kill the game on the previous possession from a very far distance and made some rash decision making down the stretch hence why Mouss Fall (C) probably takes than hook shot from the FT line. Hands down, best player in Europe but some of your facts re Olympiacos are wrong. On the positive, great video- keep up the hard work

Great video, but i must say one thing and i really rarely post comments anywhere, but. You are a person who obviously follows both European and NBA basketball, so i really cannot understand your comment at 14:25. Olympiakos, Real Madrid, Barcelona and couple of other European clubs would absolutely trash those lottery NBA teams. I think the disrespect to euro basketball has to stop, especially from people who are familiar with both leagues. I can understand Americans who are not aware of the quality of European basketball, but people who are, i cannot... I don´t care which rules is the game played on, imagine teams like Pistons or Rockets, teams without an ounce of team-play and organisation going against Iturdis or Obradović or any other premier coach from Europe!? They would exploit their weaknesses so much that they would not know what is going on. The defensive schemes against teams which solely rely on individual game from players which are not premier players to begin with would have those teams totally confused and powerless. Please stop the disrespect and start giving credit where credit is due...

Secondly, the footage you show is from the 2017 Finals where Olympiacos lost and Vezenkov didn't even play there at the time. Thirdly, Sasha won these individual awards across 2 competitions they aren't all Euroleague awards. Also, Olympiacos last won the Euroleague in 2013 not 2011 where the team went back 2 back having won the title in 2012 as well. Lastly, Olympiacos last made the Final 4 in 2017 before 2022 so not over a decade as you said. congratz for this great video. but one thing u said wrong is at 10:00 where you say "in 2022 vezenkov led olympiakos to the final four for the first time in over a decade". But olympiakos was in final four in 2013, 2015 and 2017 and even reached the finals all of those times

Slow, poor shooting hand height. No handle and can't get his own shot. He might not last a year. Definitely will never be an NBA starter.

Kings will be a hard-to-beat team this season with his addition. Being a Euro League MVP is no joke, you got to be really good to be one.

I know its a little bit harder to defend left-handed players, let alone having 3 lefties playing at the same time, Kings organization on stealth mode.

He could've gone play in the NBA several years ago, but he wanted a bigger role I guess. Now that he won the Euroleague MVP, he could be the 6th man of the year.

Based on the info you've made Sasha seems like a promising prospect. The only problem with a talent like his on the Kings, which is based on Golden State's system is he will be regulated to be a corner shooter and probably won't do much else unless he can develop a defensive game. Guys like him can make big money standing in the corner shooting, (ie. Dillion Brooks as an example). But unless he can establish himself and beat out other young talents on the Kings, that's all they will ever showcase of him in the NBA.

The key difference is the Kings may be evolving their offense. Colby Jones, their pick at this year's draft is known to be a very good cutter as well, and Keegan Murray was being a very aggressive mover on and off the ball. Sacramento also has history with a guy like Vezenkov in Peja Stojakovic. Peja was a renowned shooter, but he was rarely a stand in corner shooter. He ran around double screens and was part of the famed Princeton offense the Kings ran in their heyday. The same offense they run a variation of now. Additionally, the Kings know about their defensive shortcomings. They know they don't have a rim protector, so are looking to improve perimeter and paint defense, hoping it will lead to less chances at the rim. This is where Sasha's rebounding can be pivotal. If he can be a better rebounder than Harrison Barnes or Trey Lyles on the defensive end, it makes the defensive numbers stronger. Plus, the Kings run on near every play. A defensive rebound becomes a track meet with Fox and Malik Monk. And as a defense collapses, Vezenkov as a trailing shooter? As evidence from the development seen of Keegan Murray in Summer League, the Kings are looking to play a more aggressive attacking style of basketball. This should see a reduction of static 3pt shooting - which was a major reason why they lost to the Warriors in the playoffs. One last key stat. The Kings had the highest offensive rating in NBA history last season, being a mid-level shooting team. While defense may be a concern, they also know if they can just get enough stops they can win games. Once the Kings finished a game against a Donovan Mitchell led Cavs team, on a 19-0 run to win, away from home. Will Sasha succeed? Only time will tell. But coach of the year Mike Brown is no dummy, and knows the Warriors offense well enough to adjust it to give Sasha the best platform to succeed.

I hope the doubts about European players have somewhat dissipated by now. OK, there will always be some doubters. But by now that should be the thing of the past, we have so much evidence to support that. As for Vezenkov, I've seen him play and I was impressed. There are only two potential issues, just one actually concerns him. He is already in his prime and there could be some problem readjusting to NBA play. Personally, I think there won't be a problem. The biggest issue could be how will the team utilize him. It is more to the Kings than to him. I think he will do just fine and we will be able to see another European great player.

What a coup for the Kings. Their depth is going to be insane. And Micic to OKC? As a Nuggets fan I am more worried about Sac and OKC (and Pels if Zion plays) than the Suns, Lakers or GS.

When you enter the NBA with 27 you are already quite old. European basketball is different. It takes some time to adapt to the NBA. For a player that should take over the NBA. Definetly too old imo!

Take over the league? LOL. Always funny to me when a foreigner talks about an American sport like this, and a Brit at that. I'll correct your click-bait. Euro-league MVP wants to move up to the top level of the sport. Foreigners are always welcome to step into the crucible. Those are the long-term reverberations of the Dream Team. They'll learn things about themselves they never knew existed. Just ask Jokic, Gannis and Luka about that ruthless learning curve. They're not the first. haha. Should be interesting going to the young Kings. They need a few pieces to get to the top.
