The live version of this song from the. 1983 reunion rips your heart out. The live video of “All I have to do is Dream” and “Cathy’s Clown” from 1960 is also incredible.

Thank you for doing this song by the Everly Brothers. It has stood the test of time, spanning more than 60 years. And in every generation it seems to touch the hearts of especially the women. This hails back to a more romantic era of music, one I wish we had not lost. Wonderful job, Blessing. And here's to your next one! 🙏😊💜

They are real brothers which made their harmonies sublime. Shared DNA. In the photo, Don is on the right. He always sang the melody and solo parts. Phil, on the left, always sang the harmony. Don is older by 2 years.

Their father, Ike Everly, was a great fingerstyle gitarist, and the family performed together from the boys were very young.

Hi MrsPP. The Everly Brothers harmony stuctures, song arrangements and the fact that they wrote many of their own songs were all huge influences on the pre Beatles John Lennon and Paul McCartney. That should help give you an idea of just how important the Everly Brothers were to the history of popular music. It is wonderful seeing you again. I hope all is well Luv. Cheers, RNB

This is just one of my favourite Everly Brothers' songs - I think I was twelve when this came out, I had just started secondary school! Don and Phil were brothers, but there was two years between them (Don was the older).

The Everly Brothers were always on the radio when I was growing up in the 1950s. They were hugely popular. They started singing on their father's country music radio program when they were, like, 5 and 7 years old. At the height of their 'rock' popularity, they put out an album called, "Songs Our Daddy Taught Us", of old country tunes, like, "Kentucky", "Lightening Express", and, "Down In The Willow Garden", that really showed off their harmonies. Great 'rabbit hole' to explore.

I heard it right after it was released. I have been a fan of the Everly's since 1957. Their harmonies still impress me to this day.
