Still buzzing about this. Huge THANK YOU to Sev for taking the time out of extremely busy schedule to talk to me about movies for an hour. It was incredible. Also, this video is not sponsored and Sev did not have any requirements whatsoever. With that being said, I am really excited for his upcoming movie “Missing” and I hope this video gave you some insight and appreciation for the niche world of computer screen movies. As always, thanks for watching. Working on some really exciting projects soI hope you stick around for the journey! - Toni

That’s cool you were able to interview Sev for this. He’s dropped a lot of gems in both this and his interview with Chris Stuckmann. Great video.

@@TonisFilmClub It was a scriptwriting portfolio with a rationale & evaluation on the history and future of the internet on film! I was really interested in the depiction of the internet screen on a cinema screen, so you and I probably watched a lot of the same films in our research. :)

This is such a brilliant video essay. Found it from Reddit! Your animation is so cool and pretty and seamless. They add so much to the meaning and are super engaging. Greenscreening a little you on the screen is so cool! The interview with Sev is so fascinating. His point about being able to see the subtext literally on screen is so so cool. And how they designed the screen aesthetically is really interesting. I really want to watch “Searching” now. Great interview questions and I appreciate that u cut it down from an hour. Liked and subscribed!

Wow! I've always been fascinated by the idea of screen movies, but never got round to watching any. I guess this is my sign that I should! I'm going to seek out that short film of yours now! I suppose the closest thing I've seen to a screen movie is the Inside No 9 episode, Cold Comfort. It's told entirely by CCTV footage with one main camera feed in the middle, and another 3 down the right side of the screen. In fact, Inside No 9 itself came about because of limitations! In the creators' previous series, Psychoville, they were asked to write an extra episode set in 1 room so that they could get a bigger budget and spend it one the rest of the series. That episode ended up being the best of the series, so with Inside No 9, they decided to do an anthology series where every episode is set in 1 location.

Highly recommend a double feature with "Searching" and "Missing". I've had my eyes on "Inside No 9" for quite some time now actually. I've heard it scratches the same itch as Twilight Zone which I absolutely love, so your comment is also my sign to check it out haha
