When at 1:01 you say the one badge was last used on the program for the 1981 European cup final, there was a slight difference actually in that the Liver birds wings are pointed up on the program but the previous versions of the badge you showed had the birds wings down. Very minor detail but it made me wonder if there were two versions of that badge with this minor difference. Very interesting video though 👍

You produce great videos. I've been impressed with everything you've done that I've seen.

There are a couple of big errors in the video: The original badge was never worn on any shirt - badges on shirts are a relatively modern thing; mainly since the 1970s. The post-war crest, with circular banderole and cormorant, introduced in 1947, was replaced on match programmes in 1970 by the shield, with banderole at the base, and that crest remained the one on match programmes until 1992. The fact that the entire internet wrongly states that it was only first introduced in 1987 shows how young website content creators are and how unreliable it is. The circular crest remained in use but phased out between 1970 and 1974, until it reappeared that one more time, on the 1981 European Cup Final programme, this time in red, white yellow and green and, for the first time, with Cormorant Rampant. Another, obvious, error is saying that the club crests have always been predominently red. They were red and white or white from 1950 until the first yellow era began in 1976 - until the mid-'80s. The interesting thing about the circular crest is that it was copied by Manchester United in 1967 as the base for their crest. It first appeared on match programmes in 1968; the Red Devil added in 1970; and first worn on the shirt in the 1972/73 season. And, like Liverpool's, it had red upper banderole and white lower banderole.

Well done! Your voice and the background music are not the focus of this vid - the badge is. 👍🏼
