Those are plastic bricks, not giant detailed figurines like anime figures so why does it costs the same price as a switch?! Besides most anime figures are less expensive so this is not a fair comparaison.

I don’t think so - it gives you the ability to make one of two models - you get tired of one, tear it down and build the other! You also have to realize this isn’t your traditional Lego set meant for kids to play with - this is designed to show off. Those larger sets are easily $200+. While I feel it’s expensive, I think it’s worth it. Hopefully they come up with smaller, more affordable sets that you can pick up for less than $150.

Personally, I’d love for them to make modular sets, that are more affordable but you can put together to make a larger set! So kind of like a Hyrule castle town series with the castle as one set, town as another set, and Hyrule temple as another set…. Then could do a Hyrule field set or something that has a stable and Kakariko village and a cemetery…… Stuff like that. So you can pick and choose what you want, but don’t have to pay $300+ price to get it all. Also, I’d love to see the original LoZ map made out of Lego bricks! Now that would be an amazing series of sets!

It's 2500 pieces or 0.12$ per piece, for comparison, their titanic model has 5100 pieces and costs 680$ which is 0.13$ per piece. The average per piece prices range from $0.06 to $0.14, so it is on the higher end of that, but still within the expected range, keeping in mind Lego needs to pay for IP rights. What I don't get though, why the Deku Tree model needs 2500 pieces, with it being so small in comparison. Judging from the size of a Lego figurine, it's only about 8 figurines high, which is ~32cm high. The titanic model is 135cm long which is huge.

I don’t see any pink leaves in use for the Great Deku Tree configuration. So there will likely be bricks not used between the two sets. Unless somehow they use those pink leaves as internal components of the Great Deku Tree? But if not, then there will be plenty of leftovers that aren’t used in a specific confirmation. There do seem to be a lot of very tiny bricks, though. But because of the intricate design, I think it’s great.

It’s likely they don’t believe there’s a lot of interest in displaying both sets at the same time. Since both sets use alot of the same components, it’s actually a way to keep cost down - you can choose which one you want to display and then change it up later on. If they made it two different sets it would easily cost $200-$250 per set.

I actually have to disagree that Hyrule Castle is "iconic and recognizable." Not only does it get re-designed with every appearance and lack a consistent look*, but as fantasy castles go, it looks extremely generic. There are no really distinctive, prominent architectural elements; it would fit into almost any fantasy world with Western European-style castles. If LEGO does release more LoZ sets, I would rather they prioritize really unique setpieces, brick-built monsters, etc. I'm also hoping that future sets are smaller and more affordable for the sake of people who can't drop $300 American or the equivalent on a trinket. Your ideas are enticing, but they would all be HUGE and expensive and not good for much besides sitting on a shelf. LEGOs are *toys* first and foremost and I would hope to see LoZ sets that fire the imagination and are as fun to play with as the games are. * My counter-example is Peach's castle from the Mario franchise, which has its details changed up from game to game but always features red roofs and spires, a tall central tower with shorter towers at the corners, and a stained-glass window of Peach in profile over the main archway. *That's* what you call iconic and recognizable.

Also also a lot of your suggestions are EXTREMLY massive if they are in minifig scale and the deku tree will be the cheap option in that case. My suggestions for TP would be the wagon escort and ordon village (max 2 houses though) with both "civilian" Link and Wolf Link. OoT could have the Gerudo bridge or Lon Lon ranch. WW's obvious choice is a king of red lions with a bunch of accessories and an additional set would be some of the inhabitants of the ocean like the cannon ships.

Honestly this feels right for the price, I use to work for Lego back in 2014, and I've seen "collector" sets more expensive than this in 2014. One thing people need to realize is that this a collector set meaning that you get much more detail in the set then just general Lego sets. Could Lego do a sub line for the Legend of Zelda, I'm sure they are now especially having the licensing for the Legend of Zelda, and I'm positive well see a more general line come out next year in 2025

I personally wouldn't mind if they used the model as they did with the Mario sets. They have a central set that's $100 or a little less (in my area) and smaller sets for $20-$50 that build upon the central piece. The cost is more realistic for most people and IMO gradually building upon the scene is more fun.

I respect the 2 in 1 opportunity’s that you’re proposing however it is not always a better idea, due to how it takes away from the completeness of a set for a single design. More love can go into a single set, while a 2 in 1 is creative but tends to cut corners to make the ideas work out, and reduces detail opportunities, at least for something I can see being reasonably priced.

I wonder what kind of build lists folks have put together and is any in this have been. These days I'm more likely to by myself a tub of mega bloks of the proper size and colors and so on. I know that means I would miss out on some of the custom bricks but with 3D printing and other tools available these days even that's not completely a deal breaker.

I think the only issue with your pitches for lego sets is that they're all similar in scale to the Lego Ideas sub-brand. and while the Deku Tree is coming out in that line, I get the feeling any other sets would be more their own theme, like Mario and Animal Crossing. So there'd be sets of varying sizes designed with gimmicks and action features in mind. If anything, that increases the chances of the Twilight Realm set just for what they could do with the creepy hand challenge

Great Deku Tree aside, I actually expect Nintendo to focus less on Zelda set pieces meant for display, and more on sets meant for play. After all, Nintendo is a toy company itself, whose historical focus has been on creating smiles through fun.

Glad you picked the topic I suggested in the community post. Don't know if you made this video because of that or if you were doing this anyway, but regardless, I was wondering what you thought and I like a lot of these ideas.

Crossing my fingers for Splatoon sets, Splatoon is wildly popular even outside the US, so I’m really hoping they do sets on it cuz at the moment Splatoon merch is bleh

I honestly think a small chest set would be amazing for people who want something zelda at an accessible price and could be made relevant for any game in the series. Maybe with a key, rupee or item (would love to see a lego hookshot) that could be displayed inside would be cool. Kinda like the mimic gfp we got with the recent dnd set... But with less teeth

The problem is that a lot of the locations that would be really cool to see in Lego are so big that they would be ridiculously expensive so sadly sets like the entirety of hyrule castle just aren’t very likely. What I can see them doing however is releasing parts of the castle. For example Zelda’s study or the sanctum

A Zelda Lego set I really want to see is a brick built Wolf Link with a Midna mini figure! (Coming from someone who has Twilight Princess as his favorite Zelda game)

we should start a petition or boycott it somehow to lower the price, I understand 150-to maybe even pushing it to 200 but 300 is insane considering theres a ninjago set with more pieces for a cheaper price of 250 and considering this is a smaller set compared to that it shouldnt cost 300

I a Lego fan and builder but same to Zelda as well. there is some that i like but i think the next one be villian next and some lego/zelda want a cheaper price with a boss and one come to mind is the boss arena like forest temple boss room with both ganondorf and phantom ganondorf figures would be idea as example. i only want the Ganondorf Minifigure due to me played ganondorf a lot in Smash. another idea is the Spirit Train from spirit track as there lot of Lego Train Fan across the world. I prefer the Deku tree be just one version instead of two so the price be at least half.

🤔 - It's cool, but I would more incentive to get it... ⬆️ - My only issue is the lack of adult money...

Sets, nice, sure! But I'd actually pay the insane price Nintendo would ask for, if they made a Lego Zelda game

The only real problem I see with Lego making more Zelda sets are that they’re more then likely going to resue the same minifigs. The people that drop the 200+ on this set will be spending a lot more for the same minifigure others are going to be getting for a fraction of the price. It just feels greedy on Legos prat
