At the end of World War 2, there were a number of trials held where former SS members were brought to justice. One of those was Rudolf Brandt who worked as the Head of Heinrich Himmler's Administrative Office. Brandt had typed up some of the most ruthless actions and orders of the war that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands. But he was also known for being involved in an order which ordered skulls to be collected from prisoners of Auschwitz. He was sentenced to death and was executed on the gallows inside of Landsberg Prison.
