If you're going to pronounce a name of a foreign national, either stick with the established English pronunciation, or look up the pronunciation in the local language. Don't just invent your own pronunciation that is distinct from both. The guy's Wikipedia article has IPA for both the established English pronunciation and the actual Norwegian pronunciation, plus a recording of a native speaker pronouncing the latter.

Actually, Hungary (for example) did not allow for transport of Hungarian jews. When it finally happened in 1944, it was done at gunpoint as Hitler had sent his commando specialist Skorzeny to take hold of the Hungarian regent and force him to cooperate.

Denmark did not. When sources within the Danish government learned that the arrest of the Jews was imminent, it tipped off the resistance. Most Danish Jews were then smuggled out of the country or went into hiding.

I posted something about Denmark, but it must have been swallowed up. Upon learning of impending arrests and deportations, Danish authorities alerted the resistance. Most of Denmark's Jews were either smuggled out of the country or hidden away, and therefore survived the war. Good show, Denmark!!
